We have had contractors here who had have the crew not speaking a word of english. I presumed they were illegal.

My son works at a factory in the Albuquerque area that employs many spanish-only speakers. They are here on green cards, not illegals. The ones on a legal citizenship course sometimes take the rap for the illegals. I'm pretty sure that the company keeps a watchful eye on this.

Shame on me for assuming they were illegals. It's hard to tell. I understand a little bit of spanish but don't say a word. Simply listen.
