JOY!! Brit is by far and away the absolute best; he oozes integrity and honesty. Good to see him in the host chair!!!
Russert himself attended a "democratic strategy meeting" and the minutes of this meeting is already with Libby's defense team.
For everyone's information. All of Hersh's sources in this story are "former" Govt officials. Considering Hersh's long career as an Anti American propagandist, I seriously doubt we should spend any time or effort on his "Bush is going to nuke Iran" nonsense. Just another in a long line of Junk Media lies like Jason Blair and Rathergate.
I was wondering what all the fuss was on C-Spam this morning by the rats accusing GWB of ready to use nukes against the wack-jobs in Iran. But if you read the piece it states that;
"one of the options under consideration...includes nukes"
Far different than what the rats are already claiming, I would doubt seriously we use nukes unless the hit is 90% underground.
When they said "brains", he thought they said "pains", and asked for very few.
Seymour Hersh wrote an article in the New Yorker and the rest of the press has jumped on it like fleas on a dog. They are interested in portraying the President as eager for war and reckless in his foreign policy. It's all a bunch of hokum, of course, but that won't stop them from blabbing about it.
Russert is letting kerry flip flop again. This is another waste of air time
"Thats the sound of the men working on the chain gang.."
Much has been made out of the so-called-leak by the President & Brit Hume really seemed upset of this lie. On Fox DaySide, while discussing about the media-driven "leak scandal", Brit Hume appeared on the show and said: The President Doesn't "Leak" Anything, merely declassified some information from the National Intelligence Estimate to combat critics of the administration. So he ordered them to REMOVE the caption Fox was showing - "Libby tells prosecutors Bush authorized CIA leak". When they removed, audience widely cheered and clapped.
Liberals were angry at Brit so they thought by having that video-script on Crooks & Liars (it 's their site!) that will discredit Brit as Bush's apologist.
I would say that other media mavens, could see it if not already & learn a thing or two from Brit Hume about HONESTY in reporting news. Freepers who missed it can enjoy too.
Morning rodguy911!
I'm resending you pictures to snugs. For some reason they did not go when I did it before and just found out this morning.
It will be interesting to see Juan Williams today. Yesterday he was on the Beltway Boys and he could preview his DNC talking points. One I remember is "it's a season of change" to use against Republicans and start Democrat support now.
I fully expect today to be swamped with questions like "are the Republicans in trouble" and "it looks like the Democrats will win the House, and maybe the Senate." Old media is clearly working for a self-fulfilling prophesy.
I don't know. Gallup finally realized that it was pointless for them to be on CNN when no one was watching.
I don't know if it's posted already, but Hersh isn't alone today on the subject of US attacking Iran.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/04/08/AR2006040801082.html
It's been an important topic for many months, with most of the MSM and European nations in agreement that something must be done to stop Iran's nuclear weapons program. Why Hersh is getting all this attention today is a question we need to answer.
Oh, well, I gave my word, so I will watch and report.
The press is either ignorant of or deliberately ignores the fact that every administration always has contingency plans for every possible future action anywhere. I think of the 2 choices, they've chosen the 2nd.
The lakes where I go are always 10º cooler than in the CT River valley where I live... one of'em is actually a highland(for MA) swamp. In fact, it's name is Thousand Acre Swamp... it's also pretty remote. Up a big hill to its south lies East Indies Pond... need to hike in to fish it. Years ago, I took an inflatable up there... beautiful spot.
I found this one on a topo map close to 30 years ago. Used to be a logging operation up there in the early 1800's. Stone foundations and an old, stone & mortar mill-pond are all that remains now. With a little effort... I bet I could find some interesting artifacts up there.
Hey good morning cardinal4!
You 're right MNJohnnie. Fred Barnes predicted this kind of mis-information some time ago. He suggested that even admn. would do this to confuse the opponents about our tactics and scare them.
