[ Think about that. From undocumented illegal alien in the 7-Eleven parking lot to lawful resident of the State of Virginia in just a couple of hours. Wow. Say what you like about Luis Martinez-Flores, but he runs one efficient operation. ]
Who are the morons that say the illegals are NOT VOTING?...
If you can get 500,000 to come out for a simple rally.. in one city.. What do you think "they" will Do about voting?.. (local, county, state and federal) How many illegals are quasi legal?.. its easy to register to vote with fake ID... in most places..
(Jaws theme) Hillary is just off shore.. and local sharks are growing..

If you're an American and you marry a Canadian or Belgian or Fijian, the U.S. government can take years to process what's supposed to be a non-discretionary immigration applicationI'm learning quite a lot about this process. I just received a receipt on my form I-130 that I filled out for my wife. The I-130 is merely a "petition" requesting permission to bring my wife over here. I typed in my receipt number at the USCIS web page and learned that estimated time to approve or deny this petition is currently in excess of 900 days. Yes, that would be nine hundred days! And I'm a born and bred American citizen proudly serving my country.
Thank God for the LIFE Act that allows me to fill out a virtually identical form, the I-129F, after receiving a receipt on the I-130, and hopefully she can come over here while she waits for her I-130 to be approved (or denied). But God forbid she should have to return to Ukraine for a family emergency before her I-130 is approved. I could quite possibly have to start to process all over again.
And once she gets here there is another mountain of forms to fill out (and fees to pay) to USCIS to allow me to keep her here and allow her to get a job.

Most Americans don't deal with the INS so they don't realize how stupid and capricious it is. Legal immigrants often don't know what to expect from INS, day to day.

Steyn is one of the best of the best.
I have a Nepali friend, been trying to get a green card for a couple of years, comes here every year to work (legally). Now the rules have changed, and he probably won't be able to get a green card. He's a musician and farm worker, manages others, takes a lot of responsibility.
The only way he'll get here legally is to get his family over to Mexico City, dress up in Mexican looking clothes, and sneak across the southern border. Voila!
He's as harmless as the day is long, educating his whole family, and would be an asset to our country. Makes me sick that he can't come here, and yet millions of illegals - a goodly percentage of them thugs, drug runners, and so on - are likely to get some sort of shamnesty.

One thing Mr. Stein forgot to mention is that approximately six months after 9/11, while they were trying to toss Mrs. Gilbey out of the country, INS renewed several of the 9/11 highjackers visas via mail, with no interview. How out of touch could you possibly get?
