Thanks for the ping JP.

I loved the pic of the couple standing alone against the protests. [I fear unless there is another terrorist attack with men that came across the border nothing will be done about the border that is good for this country]

WHO is putting these protests together besides the Dimwits? There is more to this than meets the eye. Every single one of them had white shirts on, many had fancy printed signs and so many came out. Seems they have more will than some Americans to fight for this country and that is sad.

How many years have you and I been fighting this now? At least two or three, way before it came to this mess. I have personally seen this coming for more than 15 years having lived in California. Oh well, it's gonna hit the fan now one of these days and we may not be able to stop it unless the guys in DC pimping for votes fear they will not be re-elected. That is the only ace we are holding at this point. We need to go after them one at a time, not wily nily here and there. Let's pick one and bombard with e-mail and phone calls. We have two weeks!

Funny, when I call, many Senators boxes are full, many are not.

I was contacted in email about a Chicago counter protest which I will post in our Daily Summary. The guy organizing it from illegalimmigrantprotest.com here is sdiscouraged he only had 13 responses ( the couple were 2) , a snip of what he says follows:

Unfortunately, I don't see much organization going
on.

Correct me if I am missing websites that show differently. On the illegalimmigrationprotest, there are only 2 or 3 cities listing an actual date or plan, which is disappointing.

We need more people. How many of you have friends, relatives, etc. who will commit to do this?

Think about it -- how much effect are 20 people in downtown Chicago going to have?

You've seen the sickening protests everywhere this Monday.
Unfortunately, the illegal immigrant forces are well mobilized, and I fear that our misguided and crooked Congress will be highly influenced by and fearful
of them. All the more need for us to mobilize in every way possible.

LOCATION: We can't stage a protest at the Daley Center or Federal Building without a permit, which requires a minimum of 30 days, and application is required.

I can't emphasize enough that we are at the very brink of no return for this country. If the Kennedy-McCain or Spector Bill passes, even in modified form, we will have lost this country to Mexico, and the results to our
culture and country will be total devastation. The "Reconquistas" movement is a plan to take back this country as Mexico.

If you carefully listen to what some of the voices out there are saying, and can read between the lines, you will realize the agenda is deeper than it appears on the
surface. Many pro-immigrant voices speak in words that are euphenisms (saying something that really means something else). Some of the most obvious examples are, "undocumented people" (equals illegal), "pathway to
citizenship" (equals amnesty), etc.

I will call you to make this happen. Don't back down or get discouraged---this is your country and lives hanging in the balance here. If you do nothing, this won't be your country much longer.

Savoring our Small Victory and Holding Our Collective Breath for the Next Wave

Together we stopped three unacceptable measures in the U.S. Senate last week— two egregious amnesty proposals and one that would have doubled the number or legal immigrants. We forced cloture votes on the Specter Amnesty, Hagel-Martinez (actually the Specter Amnesty dressed up in new clothes) and the Frist proposal. Take a bow and catch your breath. You worked hard by calling district offices and making your voices louder than the illegal aliens marching in our streets waving the flags of foreign countries. We all get to take a moment to savor the small victory.

Okay, the moment is over and we must get ready to go at it again.

As Congress goes into the two week Easter recess period, illegal aliens are protesting in cities around the nation. Illegal aliens and their supporters are attempting to play upon the emotions of the American people and take advantage of our compassion. At the same time they are demanding “rights” to an amnesty. But their efforts are backfiring—they are awakening the sleeping American giant—the 80 percent who believe it is unfair to give rights to illegal aliens. These protests are an overt sign our side is winning the debate.

The Senate Implodes Over Immigration

The Specter/Bush amnesty proposal began to fall apart early last week. However, the Senate did not want to return home with nothing accomplished. Senators rushed to find a new solution or “compromise” that would fool the American public, pass the chamber and release them from the contentious issue well before November elections. When the Senate emerged from closed door meetings, they announced they had reached a “compromise.” Senators Hagel and Martinez took pleasure in touting their plan that would satisfy the majority needed to pass such legislation. Yet, when the “compromise” was revealed, it was nothing but the Specter/Bush amnesty in segmented form. It also included a large increase in employment-based visas.

These protests are also a sign of the desperation of the Bush Administration, ethnic lobbies and their greedy corporate allies that the will of the American people is not faltering. We will not reward those who break our laws by granting amnesty.

Heads Up!

Chairman Specter Will Tackle Immigration Again April 24

Chairman Specter vowed to revisit the immigration issue when the Senate returns from their two week recess. Since the Senate could not pass his amnesty proposal, his committee will once again markup legislation to address the nation’s immigration crisis. FAIR will keep a watchful eye on the committee’s proceedings and alert FAIR members on the developing legislation.
