The problem: for whatever reason, the powers that be that are suppose to represent We THE PEOPLE, aren't doing it. For whatever the reason is, these illegal invading lawbreaking "shadow" people are being pandered to.
And I am madder than hammered-hell about it.

Black Activists Say Immigration Shortcuts Not a Civil Right Issue

Rep. Tom Tancredo: Boycott is a Bust - Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., a longtime opponent of illegal immigration, says the May 1 Latino worker boycott is "a bust” when it comes to changing public opinion in America. Tancredo, appearing on Fox News Channel, said the waving of Mexican flags, the chanting of "Today We March, Tomorrow We Vote,” and the in-your-face flaunting of U.S. immigration law will not win many converts outside of large Latino strongholds. "When the average American looks out on the streets and sees people demanding ‘rights’ ... even though the protesters illegally snuck into our country, it doesn’t play well in Peoria,” Tancredo said. "I don’t think it’s working in favor of the illegals, but I hope they keep it up.”

Thanks Liz for the thread and Stopem for the ping!

JOSE, CAN YOU SEE (on-tap: aliens' uglier agit-prop anthem---disses US laws) by Liz

Their Version: The song takes liberties with Francis Scott Key's original words. For instance, an English translation of parts of the second verse of "Nuestro Himno" reads:

"The time has come to break the chains. Throughout the night they proclaimed, 'We will defend it!' Tell me! Does its starry beauty still wave Above the land of the free, The sacred flag?"

Ominous and Threatening IMHO!

Major groups of local Latinos oppose boycott -But in Northeast Ohio, major Latino groups are presenting a united front. They oppose the controversial strategy and are angry that some groups are encouraging children to skip school. The region will see some demonstrations and forums on what's being billed as "A Day Without Immigrants." Some businesses and factories will close Monday, either in solidarity with the effort or in anticipation of staff shortages. But local Latino organizations most active in the pro-immigrant campaign plan to boycott the boycott.

No Chicago boycott, but rally organizers hope turnout makes statement

Jake Easter,of Kearns, Utah, holds a U.S. flag as he and others oppose any illegal alien reform during an anti-immigration rally Monday, May 1, 2006, in Salt Lake City.

Rock throwing reported in Santa Ana - The Orange County Register SANTA ANA — Police asked other law enforcement agencies for help this afternoon after a group of 1,500 protesters jammed traffic on Bristol Street near 1st Street and Edinger Avenue and some started to hurls rocks, plastic bottles and marbles at officers. “It’s starting to take a turn for the worse,” Santa Ana police Sgt. Lorenzo Carrillo said. Sixteen officers at the scene were not injured by the thrown objects. Assistance was requested about 6 p.m. As soon as more officers are on the scene, people who don’t leave the area will be arrested, Carrillo said. The aggressive crowd members are different from those who marched downtown earlier today, he said.

In Mexico, boycott of U.S. goods appears to fizzle-MEXICO CITY - Millions of Mexicans stayed home from work Monday to celebrate the May Day holiday and some even marched, but there were few signs of any widespread boycott of American goods in solidarity with immigrants in the United States.Protesters intermittently blocked border bridges in Nuevo Laredo, Matamoros and Reynosa and urged Mexicans to stay home. Those who chose to cross the bridges were met with insults, according to media reports.

Jindal: Protests show disrespect - Rep. Bobby Jindal feels the hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants taking part in demonstrations across the country today are showing their lack of respect for the country they want to become citizens of. The congressman from Louisiana's First District feels their willingness "to walk in front of television cameras while they are in this country illegally shows their disdain for our government." The Republican from New Orleans sits on the House Homeland Security Committee. He said the "catch and release" program now in place is obviously not working.

Graffiti calls for Mexico boycott

Snip: Vandals used cement sewer pipes laid along the Center Road widening project to express their sentiments about Monday's nationwide boycott by illegal immigrants.

"Fire Mexican," "Boycott Mexico" and "Hire American" was spray painted on the pipes along with hands making an obscene salute.

Massive cross border tunnel to be plugged

Snip: The massive tunnel extended 2,400 feet from a warehouse near the Tijuana, Mexico, airport to another warehouse in San Diego. It was lit, ventilated and went as deep as 90 feet.

Mexico in talks with Moscow for fighter jets

Snip: The Mexican armed forces are in talks with Moscow to buy about a dozen Sukhoi Su-27 fighter jets, a Russian newspaper on May 2 quoted Ivan Goncharov, deputy head of Russian arms export agency Rosoboronexport, as saying. Mexico hopes this year to acquire a squadron of 10 to 12 jets to intercept drug traffickers’ planes, daily Vedomosti said.

Russia’s Su-27 aircraft are competing with Sweden’s Gripen jets for the contract, the paper said. It quoted an unnamed source at aircraft manufacturer Sukhoi as confirming that talks were underway. But the source voiced concerns that the United States might object to the use of Russian military aircraft by its neighbor.

Dubuque man convicted of selling fake IDs to illegals

Snip: The native of Veracruz, Mexico, agreed to forfeit 35 thousand dollars in proceeds of unlawful activities and document equipment seized at his apartment. He produced I-Ds, permanent resident alien cards, Social Security cards and driver's licenses that he has sold to immigrants since last year.

Celebrating Quatro de Ketchup

Snip: In the spirit of the May Day Protests however, I have decided to boycott all things Cinco de Mayo. If foreigners from Mexico feel they have the right to protest our laws and regulations and demand amnesty from our lawmakers by "shutting down the country", then surely as a citizen I should be able to demand strict enforcement of immigration laws and in protest "shut down Cinco de Mayo". In a move that almost makes as much sense as singing our national anthem in Spanish, I have proclaimed a counter-holiday, El Quatro de Ketchup, to be held on May 4th. El Quatro de Ketchup will celebrate the rule of law, citizen advocacy, and the age-old tradition of ousting politicians who don't please their constituents.

A strike against America

Snippets: May Day was a strike against America. It was a show of force, a demonstration of raw street power to force the U.S. government into granting to 12 million illegal aliens, who have broken our laws, not only the full benefits of U.S. citizenship, but full citizenship.

It was brazen act of extortion to coerce Congress to grant amnesty now -- or to be ready for big trouble in the streets. Congress cannot capitulate. The response of Congress to such extortion should be a direct one: "We are not intimidated. There is going to be no amnesty. The border fence goes up this summer. Demonstrate all you want. We're not capitulating."

The message would be electric: Congress will have said, first, that the U.S. will not be cowed by strikes or boycotts by lawbreakers. Second, America intends to re-establish control of her border. Third, the invasion route from Mexico is going to be closed, forever. Fourth, those who come to America henceforth will be those we invite in. And, as guests, they will behave as guests -- or they will be going back home.

During the "Generals' Revolt," when half a dozen senior officers called for the firing of Defense Secretary Rumsfeld, President Bush saw a challenge to his authority and had to throw it back. If Congress does not throw back this challenge, if Congress capitulates to this extortion, America should start shopping for a new Congress in November -- an American Congress.
