And what did he say was in error. Illegals leech off the backs of taxpayers when they use services paid for by taxpayers.
Just as a reminder, you said: "Krugman is a firm believer that the US should be responsible for feeding, clothing, and sheltering everyone in the world."
Birds migrate...Mexicans invade.
"To move from one country or region and settle in another."
Usage Note: Migrate, which is used of people and animals, sometimes implies a lack of permanent settlement, especially as a result of seasonal or periodic movement. Emigrate and immigrate are used only of people and imply a permanent move, generally across a political boundary. Emigrate describes the move relative to the point of departure: After the Nazis came to power in Germany, many scientists emigrated (that is, left Germany). By contrast, immigrate describes the move relative to the destination: The promise of prosperity in the United States encouraged many people to immigrate (that is, move to the United States).
It causes me harm when they bring their family, put them in public school to the tune of $9,000+ per kid and then fill the emergency room of the local hospital.
Not to mention all the crime and cost of responding and prosecuting it.
If illegals simply came here, were productive and didn't create numerous problems, we wouldn't be having this debate.
I will tell you what is the height of hypocrisy is that if you try to enter into Mexico from Central America without papers they will shoot you on site! This is what we should do too. Then tell Mexico that we are following the same immigration policy they are. Then see how they respond when we call them raciest.
True enough. The problem is, that at the start of Operation Barbarossa, the invasion of the Soviet Union by Germany, the problem wasn't Germany. It was instead just "those first few companies of infantry, supported by the first few tanks".
When my throat infection started yesterday, it was only a question of those "first few bacteria". What, me worry?
The vermin even broke into and stole from Kolbe, the rump riding Arizona RINO Congressman.
Why aren't you screaming about the billions going to rebuild that cesspool New Orleans? Or, the millions wasted on serveillance cameras in remote towns in Alaska.\?
Don't make me laugh.
I agree we should lock our borders. But the ones that are here are the new American citizens....like it or not.
Just try "migrating" to Mexico with out a visa and you'll end up in jail.
It's well known that illegals are here to work at very low wages, yet they send billions back to Mexico. How do you figure they could do this? By accessing public services paid for by others, of course.
Then tell me how it is moral.
I will not accept defeat, the ones here should not be US citizens, because if they do become citizens, what happened to California politically, will happen to the entire US, like it or not. Any kind of amnesty needs to be fought tooth and nail, at all and any cost, even if it means a short term economic hit, or the nation will become as lost as California is now.
"Slippery slope" is a logical fallacy as well.
All you have to do is insist Americans have equal privileges in Mexico, then you learn it is about protecting culture and community.
I'd rather your hysteria be saved up for the nuts in the Middle East. Not for the Hispanic immigrant.
Let me know what town you live in, and I will gladly go down to Nogales Sonora with a bunch of posters saying your town has jobs, schools and it's no problem living there.
Then see how you like it.
Illegal immigrants can walk into the welfare office and get on the dole right away. That's the same as sticking their hands right into my pocket. I don't want my taxes going to give illegals a free ride.
Interesting viewpoint you have. Well, they do use services paid for by others. This enables them to send billions out of the country, and no, for the great majority we never see it again, that is to say, the recipients don't spent back in this country.
That's the bother. It doesn't bother you?
