When Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga.) summoned the media to Howard University last week to tell her side of the story in an altercation with a Capitol Police officer, she assumed the traditional news conference position behind a podium and a bank of microphones.
She stood there wearing a coral-colored jacket and dangling earrings and raising the serious issue of racial injustice. But it was impossible not to stare at her hair. As your plainspoken mother might say, it appeared to be standing all over her head.

They are still Christians. They just rejected the whole 'Christian music industry' mold that everyone was trying to put them in. They got kicked out of their church over their refusal to sign with a christian label. 'Unequally yoked', they said. Stupid.
As far as Doug, he just goes out of his way to offend religious people, if you know what I mean. I think he's deeply hurt. He takes this 'hobby' of his to an extreme, where I'm concerned that it borders on being self-destructive.
Anyway, those guys are mostly responsible for my salvation. It sounds cheesy to say that a couple of albums affected me that deeply, but they did.
