Anyone ever hear this on a phone call to an elected office holder in the US? Just curious.
There are cities in Texas that are a swamp of crime and mayhem......which gets worse every day that we do nothing in this country to stop it!!

Let us parse this highly political statement from El Jefe Jorge Bush...this decodes to: "You cannot expect to slow the flow of illegals across an unprotected and open border without giving away some of our soverignty"....

Well I don't know about flying the white flag, but they really should consider flying the American flag upside down instead. That's not a lack of respect for our flag either by the way.
This signals that the Republic is in distress. I defy anyone here to tell me that it's not either.
We don't need a fence, we just need to CUT THESE PEOPLE OFF.
Without the social programs they'd stay in Mexico. No more Welfare. No more Housing. No more Schools. Bust businesses that hire illegals.
Giving these people the "right" to vote isn't going to make them want to leave. Giving these people "rights" at all isn't going to make these people want to leave.
I accept any current law being enforced under due process requirements - I do not even "reject" current law - I am simply advocating changing that law to allow more LEGAL immigration. That is not "flying a white flag over the Capitol" : )
Easier to put the crescent on it if it is white.

Time to secure the border...
It really doesn't make any sense. Secure the border and then we can decide what to do about illegals already here. There would certainly be no shortage of illegals here if the border was closed tomorrow.
I am not convinced we need extra workers from other countries, but if the border was closed I would at least be more willing to look at a worker program if it turns out we do need more workers than we have. I personally am not willing to even consider a worker plan while illegals are still streaming across the border.
The other thing President Bush needs to consider is that there are many problems with open borders, not just illegal entry. Securing the border will help with more than one issue.
I was talking to somebody today about ways to protect our borders. Some sort of survelliance method where you could drop detectors out of planes. the detectors would be planted in the ground. It's supposedly how they discovered the San Diego tunnels. suppose to be cheaper than fences. Add an electric shock device (like you do for cattle) and you've sold it to me!! :::snicker:::
