Right, and tgsl was understandably too busy to post those photos so I couldn't use them in the report.

So, do tell. Who were the blondes and was it the Army hat that they adored? Did one coo into your ear, "I love a man in a hat from the uniformed services?"

All I know from Linda (a first time visitor) is that a small group, likely some locals, came from the shadows at the back of the parking lot area and hit CJ & Linda with eggs before taking off running. I think CJ gave pursuit. Linda called the incident in, and was hung up on.

I have just returned from an extended stay (4 weeks) in the People's Republic of China. While I was there, I showed my young Chinese hosts what a Free Republic is all about and what we here at FreeRepublic.com support. My young Chinese friends are quite interested in what FR is all about and were especially enthusiastic that it was not a restricted site.

Used the Freep's at WR to show them that you can beat back the forces of evil though willpower and superior thinking. My Chinese hosts were most impressed by the general tone of the writers and the happy faces of everyone involved as opposed to the dour looks of the losers from Code Pinko.

Lead by example and keep up the good work.

What gets blocked is porn, and other sites they consider counter to the public interest. FR is readily accessible, as is DU and most of the political things from the US. Even Scaredcowburgers.com was a big hit with the guys there. They just restrict porn and other things that even we would consider a public nuisance. The communist party is trying to hang on to power the only way they know how. They realize that they cannot stay in power at the barrel of a gun, they have to be what the people want. Every politicians sole ambition is to keep his cushy office and comfortable paycheck....even in China.

Good to see all the information about Mom! Still not sure when she will be sent home to Linda's! But she sure does need the rest, so I guess that is the place to be!

3DJoy is my mom! I live in Rochester NY.

She has had surgery to fix badly broken ankle on Thursday night. We found out she has 8 broken ribs and sternum, partly caused by airbag and partly stearing wheel into chest. She is sitting up in a chair during the day. She has a broken finger and nose also. Not sure as to when she will be sent to my sister's in DC area. Off her foot about 6 weeks, so not sure as to when she will head back to FL! Might be a month or two. I am sure she will try to get the latest scoops going on!

Everyone is wishing your Mother the best and hoping that she get recover as quickly as possible. I was looking forward to giving her a ride to the FReep last Friday at Walter Reed when I got the bad news.

I've tried to reach your sister, Linda, who lives in VA and her husband by calling their home and his cell phone numbers.

No answer on the home phone. (They're probably in Richmond.) No return to my messages left on his cell phone, but I understand that he (and all of the relatives) may have his hands full, so I really appreciate you taking the time to post this.

If there is anything I (and many other DC area FReepers) can do to help, let me know.

Your Mom is a great person. We hope that she's better as soon as possible.
