Because for the most part they remain unchallenged, that's why. You saw in the article how the School administration reacted when she said those things - they did NOTHING. This is being repeated across the country by officials who are scared to death to stand up and say anything that these Mexican racists could use against them. They know if they speak out they will be called racists and bigots.
