Dobbs: Senate bill Raises Serious Questions

Ultimately, this Senate immigration deal appears to fail the first test: Border Security. Because as I've said, and as many others agree, without first securing our borders, not even the best intentions will result in resolution of our illegal alien crisis.
The test for effective reform is straightforward: Congress and the president cannot reform immigration if the federal government cannot control it, and the federal government cannot control immigration unless it first secures our borders and our ports.
Any legislation that fails to meet those tests will only worsen what is already a crisis.
What if Congress is underestimating the number of illegal aliens by half? A Bear Stearns study last year projects there are as many as 20 million illegal aliens living in the United States, depressing wages for U.S. citizens and draining local, state and federal budgets of much-needed funds for education, health care and social services.

"He still hasn't figured it out that outsourcing IS GOOD."
Huh? Outsourcing good? Looks as if the poster hasn't figured out that outsourcing is killing the American standard of living.
To servantboy777: Outsourcing works both ways. Toyota, Nissan, BMW, Mercedes are all fine examples of outsourcing TO AMERICA. Outsourcing brings the products of lowest producers to America and America uses these products to RAISE the standard of living in America. Outsourcing IS good.

I was watching the FNS Stock Market shows this am (10-12AM EST) and couldn't believe my ears. Where do these idiots get their information.
Even the right wingers of the shows were spouting babble. It is obvious they haven't a clue. They are promoting open borders, Ya, sure.
When the latinos take over the country and then ruin us with socialism, we will be nothing more than northern mexiko!

Our leaders have allowed these people into our country, they have convinced them that the United States is the place they deserve to be. Our leaders have said that they have more rights than a US citizen has.
Here is a video where they want to impeach our President. Immigration Watchdog Video

Good letter, hope Bill Frist reads it. He has chance to redeem himself if he introduces the Harry Reid 1993 illegal clampdown bill.

Well you got me! Sure there is a few in sourcing stories, but it is the exception not the rule. The American standard of living is eroding by design and no amount of smoke is gonna hide it. Good paying manufacturing jobs have decreased at an alarming rate since the mid 90's and low paying service sector jobs are steadily increasing. What's that tell ya? The economy is turning largely services oriented.
Fact is, we have a huge trade deficit with the world. China enjoys a huge trade surplus. Not only do you realize the deficit and surplus, you must realize the delta between the two.
I have been in corporate life many years, I have never seen the wave of greed in all my days. My corp is an eighty billion dollar company yet they act like a dime store outfit.
Cutbacks have been astounding. Cuts in everything from pensions to health care, 401k's to stock options, Salaries to facility maintenance. Infrastructure to jobs. It's a joke. Wages have been frozen four of the last six years, when raises did come around some received a paltry one and a half percent.
One little strategy corporations are using now-days is selling whole departments to satellite companies that pay 30 to 50% the wage. This allows the company to downsize without having to layoff and avoid the expense of paying long time employees severance packages.
In one instance, the buyer company guaranteed their wage for a year, then cut wages drastically right before laying them all off and keeping the equipment.
One thing is a given however, corporate exec's and board members lavish themselves with extravagant company perks and six to seven figure compensation packages regardless of their personal performance. Jet setting all over the world in private jets. Our company owns several now. The board voted to purchase them at a time when we were supposedly losing money.
The last several outgoing execs made millions in exit packages usually at times when we were supposedly losing money. When all the Joe six packs had to tighten their belts. Heck the last exec walked away with a 30 million parachute, that was more than one of our world wide departments made in profit for the year.
I think I have a pretty clear picture as to what corporate outsourcing is all about Sir, I and many other coworkers and personal friends have lived it year after year after year.

I know it's disgusting. They're worse then government. This can't be good for America's future economy.
