I don't think the GOP is going to let this one go.

I do.

The "G"OP has become a parody of a pandering milquetoast, willing and able to commit any offense imaginable, in the effort to "avoid offending."

The paradox of our age...

McKinney pulled out her platinum race card quickly found out it isn't accepted by many establishments, most notably the U.S. Congress and members of her own party. She apologized for the acceleration of rhetoric which she was responsible for instigating. The Capitol police have remained entirely professional and other than a press release defending their position have remained noncommittal. Cynthia is apologizing because she is losing support and may get hit very soon with an arrest warrant.
An arrest warrant that would have gone away had she apologized for her actions early on.

Too little. Too late. BTW, has she apologized to the Capitol Police officer she has accused of being a racist??

I don't understand why she gave so many press conferences. Without the big guns from the Democratic party standing behind her, she looked defeated from day one.

I agree with you. The Republicans have shown themselves to be utterly spineless, over (Sandy Berger) and over (Jim McDermott) and over (Jay Rockefeller) and over (Chuckie Schumer) and over (Dan Rather) and over (Leaky Leahy) and ....

Why wouldn't they let McKinney slide, too?

her a** needs to be forced to resign.

What? Again???

Are we working on a "three strikes and you're out" model? :)

Does anyone remember the "I can't believe they said that!" nonsense that went on the last time Her Highness lost her job?

She and her father were revealed for the way out in deep space lunatic tinfoil fringe whackjobs that they are. Someone needs to start playing that old news footage on some primetime broadcasts. I'm thinking maybe the JOOOS can get the job done, bwahaahahahah...

Seriously, WHERE is all the "background" reportage on this seriously whacked-out antisemitic family? Why has their past been allowed to remain conveniently hunkered down in the memory hole?

What is she apologizing for? I thought she was only guilty of being "black while in Congress"?

The DNC was probably crapping its pants in terror waiting for her to start accusing the cop of being a secret Jew. I imagine they put the screws to her bigtime in the smokeyless backroom, until she agreed to humiliate Her Royal Self by apologizing today.

Well, it was quite an inciteful (or insightful) post with John and Ken calling her a bag lady and crack whore.

Is she sorry for the shove, or is she sorry for the week of racist nonsense that followed?

"...She needs to apologize to the Policeman she hit...."

Didn't General Patton have to apologize to a soldier he slapped? If he was forced to do that, McKinney should do the same to the Capital Hill LEO she clocked.

Perhaps there's hope for the Donkeys after all. I mean, they have (somehow) reigned in Queen Nutbag.

DeLay's description of the guard who sacrificed his life while protecting DeLay and his staff brought a tear to my eye.

There should have not been any physical contact in this incident.

Hers or his? Ambiguious to the max.

She is a dispicable disgrace to the State of Georgia! She needs to be censored by the Ethics Committee and SENT HOME.

Georgia Voters need to get smart and kick her BUTT to the Curb.

She is all about ME! ME! ME! She never put the needs of OTHERS before her own.

If I were a DEMOCRAP...I'd vote more than once against this loudmouth!

You think there might have been some talk about an 8 by 10 room in the basement that could be easily converted into a congressional office?
