The puzzling thing is that CBS really believes they scored a major coup getting her to anchor their newscast. Why? Didn't they read their own leftist Pew news poll 2 years ago that showed most people that follow "hard news" on a regual basis get it from Rush Limbaugh, followed by the Sunday shows? Network evening news shows were way behind these two. It's a mystery why CBS expects great things from this hiring.

Thanks for posting the results of your search, but I have to say, not very convincing.

I also checked newsmeat.com under Katie or Katherine Monahan or Couric...nuthin'.

Last week I heard she was dating a solid Republican in the DC area. I don't remember his name. An owner of a beer distribution comany, who also dated Laura Ingraham at one time.

I just have yet to see any evidence she's a liberal operative. I DO know she's all fluff, so I'm against her for that alone.
