Even the posted article acknowledges there are benefits--it just tries to say they are insigificant. But risk lies in the eyes of the beholder. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank my parents for circumsizing me after I was born. Any simple procedure that can reduce the odds of my johnson falling off, even a little, is a significantly beneficial procedure to me.

In fact, the risks of various diseases in the link you provide are high enough that if the USEPA were in charge of this decision, they'd ban the foreskin quicker than they banned DDT.

Assuming you were circumcised shortly after birth, how would you miss something you don't remember? You would have no basis for comparison.

The informed woman ( and man) will know that the ability for intimate contact between partners is enhanced by having a fully functional foreskin.And informed women exist on both the liberal and conservative side of politics. Sex usually cuts through political ideology, as it should.

It was a lengthly study. The issue was that the virus did not have a foreskin to hide under, fester and multiply.

This sounds like total garbage, the aids virus is carried in thick bodily fluids, blood, semen, etc., it does not "hide under" the foreskin.

CIRCUMCISION: Did you know I once had a wallet made out of foreskin? If you rubbed it a little it turned into a suitcase.

Was it water proof? I supposed you could have a rubber for it.

Having worked as a nurse for over a decade I can tell you that, in my experience, Circumcised men have few yeast infections and UTI.

This is based on 8 years in a level II Emergency Department and 4 years of clinic work. This is coming from a man who is circumcised, who's son is and his grandson is as well. I don't see the practice as barbaric. Children are unable to form memories until about 18-24 months. A procedure done a day or two after birth and supposedly remembered by the 'victim' is BS, touchy feely stuff.

Female circumcision is barbaric in the extreme. It is done for no other purpose than to reduce sexual pleasure for a woman and increase control over them by her man or family. It is the removal of the clitoris. Many times by non-surgical means.

That would be me, I was born into an Irish Catholic family and was not cut but got it done when I was 37, as regards the sex - no difference at all. It's all baloney what they say and I was perfectly capable of keeping it clean before as I am now.

It's all a matter of taste folks, ignore the propaganda, it makes no difference one way or the other.

How utterly disingenuous. I've never even heard of the penile cancer or masturbation part of it. But the venereal disease aspect, which the author so deftly avoided, is true. Of course, it may well be social in that a circumcised man is more likely to be a Christian, Jew or Muslim and thus less likely to engage in the more dangerous sexual activities.
