True, but there are some vicious and greedy women out there. I know of one woman who had a young son (don't know where the father was). She started to date a police officer (very nice man, decent steady income) and convinced him to marry her and adopt her child. He did, being a decent trusting fellow, and lo and behold within 6 mos of the adoption going through she bolts. She told him she never loved him, just wanted someone to pay for her child. This man now has to support a child for 11 years that is not his.
I know a woman who did the same thing to some guy. She sees herself as a Christian woman, I told her the truth of what she had done from a Christian viewpoint and she told me I had too much anger in my heart and that she'd pray for me.
She married her 5th husband, shortly after she convinced him to divorce his wife.
I don't agree with what the woman in your example did. It was unfair to the man and didn't seem to be concerned much about her child. However, once you sign adoption papers, you have claimed the child as your own. I hope that he is able to spend some time as a father to the child and not just pay the bills.
I can relate. My husband has a child by a nutcase who swore she was on birth control and did the old I'll trick you into marrying me routine, however, didn't work. Now she sucks us dry for every penny we have. Meanwhile she wont let his daughter have any pictures of her family on our side. She is just a revengeful blood sucker but unfortunately it is the kid who ends up paying in the end.
