It was about a year ago when The Rick Roberts Show discovered all of the illegals living in the canyons of Rancho Penasquitos.
We discovered they were setting fires, there was an allegation of rape, the police were informed, the liberals denied that the illegals were even there, even though we provided pictures of their trash and tents as evidence .
Now Councilmen Scott Peters is going to help out the poor illegals.
EVIDENTLY SCOTT PETERS HAS A PLAN IN THE WORKS TO PROVIDE ILLEGALS WITH HOUSES!
From the AP: The city of San Diego has applied for a state grant of up to $3 million to construct temporary housing for migrant workers in the Carmel Valley area, Council President Scott Peters announced today.
The city would be required to match the amount of the California Department of Housing and Community Development Joe Serna Jr. Farmworker Housing Grant through the donation of city-owned land for a term of 40 years.
“Moving migrants out of the canyons reduces the risk of wildfire and protects local homeowners, while providing real humanitarian benefits to the workers themselves,” Peters said.
“Regardless of your views on immigration, these folks are living and working in our community,” he said.
They deserve safe and clean housing and access to running water and toilet facilities.” – SCOTT PETERS

After a year of searching, the city’s Real Estate Assets Division has not found a site where the migrant housing could be built, Peters said.
The city is working with Community Housing Works, which develops and operates farm worker housing in the North County, to find land close to employment and transit centers and is free of environmental restrictions.

If they'd drop this new "compassionate conservatism" crap, cut spending (especially to the third world), lose the "hearts and minds" strategy with regard to Islamists, and get tough on illegal immigration and border defense they'd win every election in a landslide.

I do not buy the "compassionate conservatism" bit. It makes a good story to hide behind, but I think it is much simpler than that. Our Party is in the pocket of Big Business.. pure and simple.

Yep. The GOP is their name, securing cheap/illegal labor for their corporate contributors who keep the Party coffers stuffed is their game.

They're also reportedly behind a plan for bringing 100,000 immigrant workers to *rebuild* Katrina-ravaged New Orleans, who can then settle there in ACORN arranged homes with subsidized low-interest loans WITHOUT having to provide Social Security numbers, just the employee ID Number they'll get for the rebuild work.
This was probably the reason for New Orleans Mayor Nagin's explosive comments about the future of New Orleans as a *chocolate city*; 100,000 illegals, plus their farilies of circa 5 each equals the approximate pre-Katrina population of New Orleans. And I don't think Nagin speaks Spanglish....
That will help kill off Americans faster. Then LaRaza will have achieved its goal. Our politicians will be ecstatic. No more middle class trouble makers.
