Ironic, isn't it?
They tore down the temples and other historical sites for the same reason. Then they discovered that foreigners would be willing to pay money to see them, so they tried to rebuild everything.

This is all we need. Having been through all the management fads of the 80's, 90's and this decade, I can see some enterprising dipwit deciding to launch a new business advising major corporations on The Confucian Way of Business.
Wait a minute....why not me? I could rake in gazillions giving lectures and motivational speeches on absolute nonsense! Just think of all the pamphlets and books on the Confucian Way to Chinese Style Efficiency.
