Nah -- in this case it was probably a good political move for the Rs. Delay had become radioactive, and the Ds could have put a lot of money into that campaign to defeat him.

Now, however, it's probably a safe Republican seat.

Or they sign on to the Opportunist Party at the drop of a hat.

I'm sick of Republicans selling out conservative principles in order to retain power. I'm sick of influence peddling. In short, I'm sick of Tom Delay and the majority of his colleagues. They have been absolute failures as conservatives.
