I'm sick of Republicans caving.

Nah -- in this case it was probably a good political move for the Rs. Delay had become radioactive, and the Ds could have put a lot of money into that campaign to defeat him.

Now, however, it's probably a safe Republican seat.

Radioactive? I guess that includes Cheney, Rumsfeld and many others as well. The dem attack dogs get to choose who gets labeled and our guys cave when it gets too hot. I'm just sick of it.

It would have been a good political move months ago, before the primary. Now it just raises eyebrows. It may work out in the end with the GOP keeping the seat but that doesn't mean it was a smart way of doing things.
