Yesterday when I first heard about the explosion inside the Toronto Tim Horton's, I immediately checked the Northeast Intelligence Network website for any information they may have. I wondered if they'd investigate north of the border. Turns out that yes, they did. They, in fact, have investigators both south and north of the border.

We have an admission that there were wires and a battery found near the dead guy, the smell of burnt powder (gunpoweder I asume) and that there were mulitple bangs. I still don't fully trust the official story and would like the RCMP to look into it.

I believe a little skepticism is in order, at least until more facts emerge.

Thanks for looking- I figured it was easier just to gather all the links I had in one place, rather than keep making multiple referrals to different sites and posts. It's a strange case.

I get a strong sense of "let's not panic the sheep" from the official sources.

I suppose this character could have blown himself up with gasoline in a "goodbye, cruel world!" gesture, but it sure looks suspicious to me.

I had completely forgotten about that. That was a very strange case.

It is a strange case, way too soon to be certain of anything. The one thing I am certain of is that a depressed person would NOT strap a bomb to themselves and then go blow themselves up alone in a restaurant bathroom. That theory don't hunt. IF indeed this person did strap a bomb to themselves, and that is a big IF, then this person had other plans than Tim Horton's bathroom.

But, NEIN tells people what they want to hear, and I guess that's all that matters.

The picture of the guy screaming for help until the collar went off wasn't a pretty one.

There is much more going on than we are being made aware of.

The authorities supposedly have still not identified the man. They found a car, though, which should quickly lead to his ID.

Car linked to dead man

Tim Hortons flash fire victim remains unidentified

A car found in the area of the Tim Hortons outlet in which a man died in a flash fire on Sunday is being examined by forensic experts.

"A vehicle found at a nearby parking garage has been taken to the Centre for Forensic Sciences for investigation and we are examining video evidence," Det.-Sgt. Myron Demkiw said yesterday outside the Yonge and Cumberland Sts. coffee shop.

An autopsy determined the cause of death was smoke inhalation. The man's identity has still not been established.

On Sunday afternoon a man entered the restaurant and a short time later an explosion was heard and smoke came from the washroom.

Toronto Fire Services put out the blaze, which was contained to the men's washroom. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"A container was found in the bathroom with liquid that is believed to be gasoline," Demkiw said. Police said there is no indication of a terrorist link. Initial radio reports after the fire said a man was seen with explosives strapped to his body.

Demkiw said police still have no idea of any motive behind the fire.

"At this point we don't know if it was accidental or deliberate," he said.

A bag found at another Toronto Tim Hortons after the fire led to an evacuation, but that bag was empty and unconnected to the other event.

"You can feel the tension in places like Toronto," Justice Minister Vic Toews said.

"When something unusual happens, people automatically become worried that there's some kind of a criminal activity involved. We need to restore calm into the streets of these cities."
