Are people born with tattoos or do they choose to get them? I overlook birthmarks and natural blemishes. Willful stupidity in ink, I don't.

That is thoughtful of you to overlook birthmarks and natural blemishes. I wonder if the daughter of our friends was being "willful and stupid" when she decided to get a tattoo. Her brother died in a tragic accident when he was 15. A couple of years later, she went to a tattoo parlor and had the shape of a heart tattooed on her shoulder, and inside that heart was a cross, the name of her brother, the year he was born, and the year he died. Not all tattoos are eeeevil. :)

Ditto on that. My friend Leti has a tat in honor of her deceased baby brother. Alot of people I know have tats that are very personal to them, usually commemorating the life of a dead friend or family member, and usually in a place that is unobtrusive. Leti's is small and on her ankle.

You're being ridiculous. Nobody is saying that "all" tatoos or "all" piercings are disgusting or inappropriate. But you're awfully naive, Grandma, if you think that none are.

Tattoos, especially tribal sorts, in the small of the back on young girls have a name among the young. Do you know what it is?

A ball stud piercing of the tongue serves a purpose. Do you know what it is for?

As *my* grandmother told me... "If you're going to dress like one, don't be surprised when you're treated like one."

It's a team concept. Every individual is important but in business no one is more important than the team. Creativity and uniqueness are important until it becomes I instead of we in my opinion. If you go to a job with your kids, right or wrong you are saying that I may have baby sitting problems and the team will have to cover. If you come in half naked, hanging out or with your belly showing you give the appearance of probably goofing off or will be flirting all the time. If you come in with whistles, bells, rings and face paint you may be thought of as rebellious and a management problem. That said, unless it is an attention draw, most don't notice a tattoo on an arm or a couple of earings . It's not the art work or the jewelry. It's how you wear them. IMO, anyway.

That's what gravestones are for.
