This is disappointing Im a long time listener of Glen and cant stand CNN. I dont know how to take this.
Prayers going up that he won't be 'infected' by the liberals there!!
Weird.
Has to be a good thing, though.
This will put the liberals further on the defensive.
I think the term 'infected' belongs in the San Fransisco-related threads...where it's most appropriate.
Both Savage and Rush failed at tv, but Beck has the humor to make it work.
Old news and you spelled his name wrong.
I wouldn't classify Rush as having failed at TV. It's more like he gave it up.
I've never listened to him, but if he's right of center, perhaps CNN is finally understanding that they can't live off the left alone? And they probably offered him one heck of a bundle. We'll have to wait and see, I guess.
Where've you been, long-time listener? He's been talking about this every day for well over a month now. ;) I think it's hilarious as CNN Headline folks must be in therapy over this.
sigh ~
That is not true. In markets where Rush's show was put on the air at a descent time his ratings were very good.
The problem was liberal big city managers refused to air his show at a decent time. Some stations were airing his show at 4:00AM. Rush typically did better than than the regular ABC and CBS competition when aired after the 11 eastern or 10 central time news.
I havent listened in a while have a different work schedule and got an Email about it.
I remember well, but maybe you were too young to remember the facts. Rush didn't fail at t.v. He just got sick of every station across the country airing his program at 1:00 or 2:00 a.m. or on an off-beat station vs tried and true prime-time soap operas. The left and their media cohorts made sure to stack the deck against Rush so that it was impossible for him to claim a massive loyal audience like he enjoys on radio.
I still mourn the fact that Rush had the most promising and entertaining t.v. show ever and could be influencing millions with a t.v. program. His sense of humor is key in illustrating the absurdity of the modern day leftist/socialist. I really miss his t.v. programs and would love for him to reconsider and try again.
Glen better watch himself over there.... one lil slip of the tonque and he'll be burned at the stake!
Do you remember Rush the day the aquarium octopus died?
The PETA types were weeping and wailing, and didn't want the octopus stuffed.
Rush had a chef bring in calamari and threw it around the audience.
Off Topic:
On Wednesday, at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00
on the morning, the time and date will be:
01:02:03 04/05/06
That won't ever happen again. You may now return to your normal life.
I'm sick that I didn't see that one. My favorites were his Jocelyn Elder reports. Just remembering his cigar smoking smirk brings a smile to my face.
It's on his website for 24/7 members.
I listen to Rush every night instead of watching TV when I go to bed. It's some of the best money I spend. He's always so upbeat - I end the day with a smile.
It will happen one more time : at 1 PM. Pretty cool, though.
