I'm not a lawyer, but it seems as though the Congresswoman assaulted the guard as he was doing his job.
I think once the video is released we'll know more.
The fact that Cindy won't answer as to whether she struck the guard or not says more about her defense than what she does say.
One of the first things she'd have to answer is "Did you strike him?" With a video available of the confrontation, a deck of race cards won't help her.
Failing to wear the identifying pin doesn't help her case either... even if it is optional.
If I were opposing counsel I'd give her 100 photos of (white) security guards to memorize. Next day I'd bring 20 people into the courtroom dressed in street clothes and ask her to identify those who were in the photos.
If she can't identify all of the guards present without picking anyone who isn't a guard, her house of cards will begin to fall.
If someone in authority tells you to stop. Stop
If she wants to argue she's more important than a guard, than she's admitted she's doesn't serve the public, she expects the public to serve her.
I rest my case.

The following was a statement I made around 4PM today on an earlier thread concerning McKinney ... how prophetic. That was a great prediction. I on another thread earlier pointed out the Matt Stone and Trey Parker will make this a source of hilarity. Would not be surprised to see them do her press conference, with a flashing caption at the bottom of the screen saying, "Cynthia McKinney Actually said these things."

"...she got busted using taxpayer funds to fly Isaac Hayes to the dedication of her new office." Ooohh...I missed that one. Dang, I hate it when working interferes with browsing FR.

I saw her and I also saw her old pic side by side. She doesn't even look like her old pics at all. I didn't recognize her.
To: Victoria Delsoul
That's really interesting -- I hadn't heard that before.
To: Alberta's Child
Well, you need see her how she looks now and before.

Take a look... now and before
To: Victoria Delsoul
Geez -- what is it with that bug-eyed look in the "before" photo and so many of the other ones I've seen on these threads?
To: Alberta's Child
And today when she was talking to Wolf, she looks even better. So that's why I thought she had plastic surgery.
To: Victoria Delsoul
In this picture she looks like something I would use to clean my toilets.

LOL -- I'm telling ya, that's the first thing I thought when I saw that photo!

I laughed hard when I read your post.

I'm not a lawyer, but it seems as though the Congresswoman assaulted the guard as he was doing his job. That's the way I see it, too. Let's give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Say she was in a hurry, talking on her cell phone, not wearing her pin or going thru metal detectors (which I understand is allowed for others). Because of her conversation on the cell phone, maybe she does not hear the capitol policeman asking her to stop 3 times. When he attempts to stop her to ascertain her credentials, she hits him. All I can see from this is that she assaults someone for not knowing who she is. Then has the balls to accuse them of racism rather than apologizing for her knee jerk reaction to someone (are they white?) daring to touch her. This stinks just like the racism of a black person daring to touch a white person.

Yes, she (McKinney) got the boot from Congress once before.
She got beat (badly!) by a another liberal (though not hate-filled) black woman named Magette (-1, sp) in 2000. Magette, in turn got "convinced" (by McKinney's handlers perhaps?) to quit her "safe" (democratic/minority/gerrymandered to the sea) DeKalb Cty House seat and run in an impossible state-wide election for the Senate seat.
Since Magette was running for Senate, McKinney had a cakewalk to get back her House seat.

Nope.
She (deliberately) walked around the metal detectors at the Capitol entrance without notifying the officers and while wearing no id, no badge, nor the Congressional pin. (I do not know if she was with a group (that did wait while she walked around) or led an entire group around the metal detector and security checkpoint.)
The guard alerted, spoke to her (she ignored him and continued walking away), called to her more firmly/vocally, (she continued to ignore him), and finally the guard rushed after down the passageway and grabbed her arm to tun her around...
It was at that point that she blew up, swung at him with her arm/cell phone/hand, and began pulling her race cards out.
This was the fifth incident where McKinney has cursed/complained about/confronted verbally or physically the security police at the WH and capitol.

But does anyone here think this Incident was ONLY a
" Cynthia McKinney " issue??
Isn't this just one of many Examples of those Hypocrites in the democrats party screaming
" RACISTS! " - while proving where they really stand??
I am sure many here could list All the Past Instances where conflicts instigated by the democrats themselves have happened in the past..but there probly isn't enough memory here!
But..is it just those liberal African-American Politicians?? or those or the Elitists in the democrat party?? or all of them Guilty of Racist Bias like this?? and HOW do the voters keep electing these people if they keep acting like this??
What does this say about the voters?? Doesn't any Real American GRINGE when they hear in the news about someone from their party/group/race/religion debasing another?
...does anyone else also remember this? :

Latinos and Whites All Look Alike to Me"
( 2/27/2004 ) Can you imagine the nationwide media uproar if a Republican congressman said Hispanics and whites "all look alike to me"? But this comment came from a Democrat, so it's probably news to you. U.S. Rep. Corrine Brown, D-Fla., apologized Thursday for her racist remarks. Her outburst came Wednesday during a briefing on Haiti with Florida's congressional delegation and Assistant Secretary of State Roger Noriega, a Mexican-American. The congresswoman, who is black, sat across from Noriega and launched a diatribe against President Bush. She claimed it was Republican leaders who were "racist" in their policies toward the failed black Caribbean nation, and she called the president's representatives "a bunch of white men."
You have the Politicians and then you have Hollywierd with their hyprocritical comments and then you have the Major Media & Press....isn't this just a reflection of not only those who are doing the SAYING--but also of those who are doing the SUPPORTING of these people??
