My email:
Dear Senator,
As you know, America is being force-fed the McCain/Kennedy amnesty-bill. As a citizen and registered Republican since 1980... I despise this legislation. Furthermore, I will NOT vote for ANY Senator or Representative who supports it. Illegal-immigration and porous borders are destroying the America I grew up in... and given the nature of Islamo-terrorism... it's an open invitation to our enemies.
I fully support the Sensenbrenner bill on illegal immigration and desire sealed borders. We can talk about 'temporary guest-workers' when the former is addressed.
Bill Frist's Response:
Dear Friend:
Thank you for contacting me regarding comprehensive immigration reform. It is an honor to serve you as the Majority Leader of the United States Senate and a privilege to respond to your concerns.
Today there are 10 to 12 million undocumented aliens living in the United States, and many Americans believe that our immigration policies are in need of serious review. As a nation of immigrants who honor the rule of law, I believe we must make it a priority to secure our borders as a part of any effort to reform our immigration policies.
In order to address this issue I have introduced S. 2454, the Securing Americas Border Act, a billion-dollar down payment that focuses on border security and interior law enforcement and will enable the Senate to pursue comprehensive immigration reform. My proposal will add resources to border protection, give our immigration-enforcement officials new legal tools, invest in physical barriers and electronic surveillance equipment at the borders and make it easier for employers to ensure that they hire only citizens and legal residents. We need to make these investments because maintaining a secure border ranks among the most fundamental missions of any sovereign nation.
While our country needs security at our borders in order to slow the flow of illegal immigration and enhance our national security, we still need to do more. A majority of the people who enter America illegally, after all, come here to work. Among other things, the full Senate will need to address ways we can balance security interests with our economy's labor needs. In the long term, our government needs to work on policies that encourage democracy and prosperity abroad which will also address our immigration crisis by reducing the number of people who feel that coming to the United States is their only option.
Let me be clear, I do not support amnesty, but I do understand the labor challenges facing our nation, and, as Majority Leader, I will continue to work with my colleagues to address this critical problem in the 109th Congress. On the basis of sound immigration policy, we can protect our borders, and continue to welcome legal immigrants, and in doing both we will improve the lives of all Americans.
Sincerely,
William H. Frist, M.D.
Majority Leader
United States Senate

Well, in a pinch you can print it up and use it as toilet paper..
So did you go 'fishin... or get rained-out?
Major tstorms here with fatalities, Im sorry to say. Tentatively working on tomorrow. The WX will be in the 60's with cloud cover..
BTTT!
I wasn't listening very close but from Hannity's interview with Chris Simcox it sounds like the minutemen have video of a congressman working with these groups that help illegals cross the border.
I wasn't listening close so I can't confirm it but it could be interesting if true.
Here's the plan:
1)We build the wall, where plausible, and stop an immediate stop to the flood of illegals jumping the border.
2)Given that 30-40 percent of illegal southern border jumpers simply overstay their travel (tourist) visa's, we must cut back or restrict all visas issued through Mexico and/or Central American countries. No more using the Holiday INn as the address, unless it can be proved you are really staying at the HOliday Inn.
3)If all else fails, we must require potential border jumpers to carry GPS boxes so they can be located if they jump their visa.
4)Also, it is not necessary to immediately round up the 12 million or so illegals now in the US. But as they are discovered, either thru a traffic stop or by a tip, the immigration service should take them into custody for transport back to their home country.
5)If it's a mother, we must locate her children, and family.
Any more suggestions should be welcome
I received the identical response from Frist's office. I replied as follows:
"Sen. Frist:
"Thank you for your response. I share your views on border security. However, we are at opposing views on the "labor" issue. The illegal Mexicans, Hondurans, Guatemalans, et al. are taking jobs away from Americans and driving wages down. Illegal aliens now make up 27-29% of the prison population. They drive without drivers' licenses, intoxicated, without auto insurance, and flee the scene after causing accidents. They are a terrible burden on our school systems and hospitals, where you and other elected officials have made sure they cannot be turned away and so are cared for at taxpayer expense.
"I had much hope when I heard you would back an immigration enforcement bill. Now I see it was only window dressing for sustaining the massive illegal immigrant invasion and takeover of our country. I can no longer support you for any elected position and will actively oppose you if you run for President if you maintain this stance.
"Respectfully,"
Frist has always been weak on this issue. He's basically a RINO, blowing with the wind, fence sitting, or trying to please every side. He's shepherded a lot of the budget-busting spending bills through the Senate. Now, he's giving lip service to border enforcement while letting in masses of new immigrants.
Tancredo/Pence '08.
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.
He's going to cave. He'll be the minority leader in a year because of it.
I once got a response from KKKByrd... it was chilling.
The ploy by the puppets in DC is blatant. If the security of this country has any degree of importance the current border's policy during a time of war is absolute insanity. I surmise our elected officials are not that stupid so there are ulterior motives. The two that come to mind are (1) allow (guarantee) another terrorist attack as to disrupt the country so badly that the citizen voice will be silenced and the Constitution suspended (not that they are paying attention to it or us now) and (2) fostered by the first, eliminate the middle class. The people of this country who are PATRIOTS are bound by the rule of law (again the Constitution). There are now many in this country who have no obligation to our laws but who are easily controlled by the promise of a daily penitence.
Not review Senator ... enforcement!
Another spit in the face for those who obeyed the laws and came here LEGALLY.
Frists career is in review...
Actually, not. Sessions was one of the voices of reason during the Judiciary Committee hearings. Go to his website and read his press release. I don't have a dog in this fight, I am just disturbed to see someone like Sessions, who has his head screwed on right, get dissed.
All illegal aliens offered system to register. They then can register, go home or break the law. Their choice.
Failure to register felony->jail time->expulsion. (Satisfies anti-amnesty folks -me)
Those who register allowed to stay and work for 5 years then they have to go back to country of origin and get in line to come back in a legal manner if they desire to do so.
(Offers an opportunity to plan an adjustment while assuring they leave - No amnesty)
At the same time, force employers in the target industries to pay fair market wages that offer no advantage to the hiring of illegal aliens. This would eliminate the argument that the Mexicans are doing jobs that American won't do because of low wages.
( Opportunity for liberals/pro-labor folks to support this - Lots of Kudos and rats on board)
Seriously prosecute employers who continue to employ unregistered illegal aliens or pay under the designated wage.
(This is enforcement of existing laws We all love it including rats)
And lastly, force the unemployed folks who are too good to work for "coolie wages" to get off their rears. No food, no welfare no nothing unless they work.
If they work, subsidize with child care, educational subsidies etc. (Conservatives love it as well as some rats)
Build a barrier/wall with controlled access points (Conservatives & 75% of folks support this)

Watch the circus.

And allow the RIFD transponder to be implanted in your right hand when its time.

And everything will be alright.
