Hi Bah! Thanks for the ping. Hope you and yours came through those storms okay.
Since my office is in my home, I wouldn't make much impact. I read somewhere, probably on FR, that April 19 was a day to turn on car headlights in support of immigration enforcement.
Frankly, I think this issue requires a protest in Washington. The MSM was boasting that the LA protest last week was so impressive in size and strength. If a counter protest was organized, the LA protest would pale, and I believe the point would be made to these ELECTED officials.
I'm game and I would be there.
Please do.
Done. It'll just have to wait until after sun up tomorrow.
You could be right...some were saying that the size and number of the protests definitely did have an impact on the Senators in Washington..
Unfortunately, the impact affected the Senators just the opposite as it did most Americans.
I was so disgusted by the flying and waving of Mexican flags, and the chants of VIVA MEXICO!
I already have a small one stuck in the top edge of my cubicle, rising above the spine of the cubes for excellent visibility.
Oh, and there's another one on the driver's side rear quarter window on my car.
Do those count?
Sure. But the more people hand carry the flag in public the greater the impact.
Excellent. Thank you!
"I live in a small farm town in Nelson County, Virginia, and will retire from the Virginia Army National Guard in April 2006, after 22 years. I have spent almost one half of my adult life preparing myself and my soldiers for a time, such as now, that our country might successfully face our enemies, foreign and domestic.
Looking at your webpage this morning and seeing the pictures of the high school students raising a Mexican national flag over an upside down American flag saddened me terribly, insofar as there are American soldiers, Marines, sailors, and airmen currently putting their lives in danger in order to provide these "citizens" the comfort of knowing that their protests will not result in being lined up against a wall and executed for their behavior, as they might in other countries around the world.
What would be interesting to know is if these young men and women are enjoying their educations on the back of the American taxpayer at a public school, while denigrating the country that provides these benefits to them, and so blatantly desecrating the flag that serves as a beacon to draw them to America in the first place."

WILL DO.
Thank you very much!
Can they stop the kids from wearing a T-shirt with a flag on it? Mine have some. I'm putting mine up outside this week.
Consider it done :)
Putting up my flag, not my flag T-shirt Duh.
I do too, del. But if we couldn't get the numbers, it wouldn't work. I'd use my last dime, fwiw.
How does one organize a protest. I have no idea. I don't have those "special" connections those folks did. Just my FRiends.
About 75% of my T-shirts have the flag, USA, or some patriotic theme to them...
Since 9/11, I buy 2-3 every summer...
I will have my 1 year old granddaughter on Thursday..I think I will go shopping and by HER a red, white and blue outfit...and a tiny flag for her to hold.
