Take an American Flag to Work Day, Thursday, April 6, 2006.
All patriotic Americans who have been concerned (to put it mildly) about the predominance of flags of foreign nations at the recent pro-illegal alien marches and the desecration of the American flag by supporters of illegal aliens are being asked to participate in a demonstration of patriotism and American sovereignty by taking an American flag with them to work, school or anywhere this Thursday, April 6.
How it works is simple: Proudly carry an American flag with you wherever you are in public. Small parade style flags on sticks would work best for those who commute by bus or subway and those who walk to work. Carry it around with you when you go out for lunch and when you leave work.
Wear red, white and blue patriotic attire. Fly the American flag at your home. Fly an American flag from your car antenna. Tape an American flag in your car window. The goal is to have Old Glory be given the prominence it deserves and to remind everyone--politicians, illegal aliens and their enablers--that the American flag comes first in this country.
Folks have been clamoring for a march to respond to the pro-illegal alien marches. This is a way to do that without having to take time off from work and family responsibilities and still take a stand in public.
John McCain has been touting the pro-illegal alien marches as being effective in influencing polticians in Washington. Now's your chance to exercise your influence.
Please pass this message along to everyone you know and every patriotic blogger you can think of. Contact any patriotic group you belong to. Contact your local media and talk radio shows. We don't have George Soros to bankroll a publicity campaign. We just have us. Stand up for America and Old Glory this Thursday.
I'll do it!
Even though it won't have any impact in the States. :(
Volley bump!
OK. But carry a Canadian flag, too. We don't want to disrespect our friends.
Good idea. As a matter of fact, maybe I can find the pin someone gave me at the 9/11 ceremony on Parliament Hill--the two flags together.
I have just sent out your post, btw--I just saw it now. :)
Thanks!
I do that everyday.
My cellphone ringtone plays "Proud to be an American" by Lee Greenwood. It always gets a smile when it goes off. Thge US flag flies 24/7 at my home ('cept when it's real windy and the snapping keeps me awake)
Oh, and Thursday is also our Cub Scout Den Meeting where I'll have 6 young men actually pledging their allegiance to the flag. When the weather is good, we go outside and do it around my flagpole.
Just was copying you on the ping to holdonnow and Tony Snow. holdonnow is Mark Levin's Freeper name if you did not know.
&&
Oh, okay. Thanks. No, I did not know that.
Well.....I just heard that the rally that was planned for tomorrow, set up by the radio station that carries Tony Snow's show...
Has been cancelled...but the afternoon host, Greg Knapp says he can't go into the details of "all of the reasons why"...
But, then he mentioned that he couldn't recommend then, that we go to counter-protest on Sunday when both Dallas and Fort Worth will have ORGANIZED pro-illegal rallies, with POLICE help...
because he says anyone carrying an American flag, could get hurt.
JUST DOUBLE DAMN
Our ancestors, our Founding Fathers died again for WHAT???????
Yeah...think about what is at play in our country...and group of people, probably a HUGH percentage ILLEGAL, being egged on by a group of socialist organizations...
get police protection, a right to protest, and all kinds of media coverage...
BUT, law abiding Americans, proud of their flag and country (for how much longer?)...CANNOT gather without fear of retribution...and without police protection.
Thank You for your service and to all the men and women in the Military.
I fly the American Flag everyday in front of my home as do several of my neighbors.

Big Thank YOU!! OLD Glory Mega Bump!!
Why not stay where life is good and then declare war to attempt a takeover of such a disrespectful way of life?
Just food for thought.
