What Can We Do About the Invasion of Our Country by Illegal Aliens?
Self | April 2, 2006 | Supernatural

Posted on 04/02/2006 5:03:54 AM PDT by Supernatural

This thread is meant to be a discussion on what we, the citizens of the United States, can do to make our politicians aware that we are fed up with the invasion of our country by illegal aliens. How can we fight back? What are our options? Which options have the best chance of working?

We have a chance to put some pressure on our elected representatives because this is an election year. The only real weapon we have to use against our representatives is our vote.

There has been some discussion as to what we might be able to do on several other threads. Some ideas suggested were:

A national rally and march to be held at some future date in Washington, D.C. that should be done before our legislators pass any new bill concerning the illegal aliens.

A campaign to send postcards informing our representatives on our feelings about the illegal aliens.

Make telephone calls to our representatives' offices.

Some other options:

Rallys and marches in several main locations around the country on the same day, such as in Washington, D.C., a city in Texas and a city in California.

Rallys and marches in many cities around the country on the same day.

A petition campaign where volunteers gather signatures of registered voters and forward the petitions to our representatives.

In addition to what I have here, FReepers are encouraged to add their own ideas or to pick the plan that they think will work the best. Discuss the advantages and drawbacks of any plan.

I think the rally and march ideas will be the hardest plan to execute. Permits will be required which would not be that much of a problem. Enlisting guest speakers, getting P.A. equipment together, paying for sanitation facilities (portapotties), paying for cleanup and paying for insurance and security make this the most difficult option. Travel and lodging make this option somewhat time consuming and expensive. There is also the possibility of violence being instigated by the other side.

I favor a petition campain. Here is why and here is how I think we could work it.

Many on FR would be willing to send in a postcard. But if friends, acquantinces and co-workers are approached about sending their representative a postcard many simply would not bother to do it. Too much work for them.

It would be much easier to get them to sign their names and addresses on a petition. It is something that they could do immediately.

If each interested person on FR could print up a petition and get 20 signatures on it and send it in that could mean a lot of signatures.

If each interested person on FR could get 20 signatures on a petition and pass out other petitions to his friends and other interested people to get 20 signatures on, that would be a lot more signatures. The FReeper could collect all the petitions from his friends and others and send them all in at once.

We need some ideas on how the petition should be worded. Most of us have printers and we can print our own petitions.

In addition to the petition, FReepers could be encouraged to call and to write their representatives. Let them know that we mean business.

Please discuss any ideas you have on this thread. What do you think is the best idea or combination of ideas? Do you have any ideas to add?

We need to generate an offense, so let's roll!

Yes she did, Springhill Nurseries in Tipp City Ohio, she worked in the greenhouses, the company brought in illegals.

Delphi, like GM, has job banks also, to offset the cost they are looking for cheaper engineering costs and sending much of it to Mexico and India. Engineering isn't protected by the unions. American car company's are wacky, extreme labor costs and priveleges at some levels and deep cuts to American jobs at other levels.

The point isn't that other jobs can't be found but these are jobs Americans wanted and lost contrary of the leftist mantra "Illegals are doing jobs Americans don't want".

So, your solution to the problem is to let things get even worse?

What happens when the illegals take your job because the illegals will do the work far cheaper than you will? Then your job becomes another job "that Americans don't want to do".

Are you willing to have your pay cut by two-thirds or even more?

I guess the world is an open market now and the world is to be without borders.

That way cheap labor can be everywhere and evey nation can be turned into a third-world type of country.

The factories move overseas or out of the country for cheap labor and our country imports foreign worker to take our jobs at a fraction of the cost of American labor.

And our middle class is becoming an endangered species.

Won't happen. starbase's link at #7 got pulled for a reason. This thread might get pulled as well.

I think there is some misunderstanding my FRiend, my link at #7 appears alive and well. Perhaps you have a pop up blocker that is killing the window.

I just tested it and it works fine, but the NumbersUSA site is loading really slowly, maybe you need to wait a bit. You know, their response this week to a recruitment email, after the foreigner's demonstrations, was so huge their systems crashed!! They've recently paid for upgraded systems, but they didn't have time to set it up before last week. That's actually great! 18,000 new members just this last week!

Our country is in danger of being turned over to the 'rats.

So, then we go from bad to worse.

Where is our choice for good or better rather than for bad or worse?

Google "Americans for Legal Immigration" and take the top ranking. If you don't like google, Clusty.com's #1 is the same.

I think you might be surprised at what you don't see on FR.

The above is a simple copy-paste of your link. Not surprisingly, it gives a 404.

Regardless, without a major change of heart, FR will not be getting behind immigration reform.

Well if FR wants to constrict itself to simply being a forum where Conservatives interact, inspire, and energize one another, I can live with that. Maybe they don't want to do politics.

As far as the link, are you saying if you click it you don't go to NumbersUSA? I get NumbersUSA when I click the link in #7.

What I posted above is a copy of your link location, directly from the link. I've had no trouble accessing the NumbersUSA site; that's what comment #10 is.

I should revise what I said earlier. FReepers may get behind immigration reform, but so far JR has not.

We need to hold our representatives responsible no matter which party they belong to.

Those who sell-out this country need to be voted out of office during election day... whether they have an R or a D next to their name.

#1 - Stop allowing auto-citizenship to illegal alien babies born on U.S. soil...

#2 - Stop all non-immergent health care to illegal aliens.

#3 - Stop all forms of federal/state government payments to illegal aliens.

#4 - Remove all illegal aliens from public schools.

#5 - Stop the issuing of Drivers Licenses to illegal aliens.

Some of these are just no-brainers in my midget mind....but it appears I have to help the MORONIC IDIOT STUPID Politicians out here..!!

Feel free to add on..........

I would love to hold our representatives responsible.

Just try it and see what happens. Nothing.

The only weapon we have against them is our vote.

I'd be hard pressed to get 10 signatures from where I live. You suggest 20?

Nice to see you. Kaylee is doing fine, thanks. I'll tell her she has a fan on FR. She'll get a kick out of that.

We have surely been taken for fools by our government.

It is up to us to prove them wrong.
