What Can We Do About the Invasion of Our Country by Illegal Aliens?
Self | April 2, 2006 | Supernatural

Posted on 04/02/2006 5:03:54 AM PDT by Supernatural

This thread is meant to be a discussion on what we, the citizens of the United States, can do to make our politicians aware that we are fed up with the invasion of our country by illegal aliens. How can we fight back? What are our options? Which options have the best chance of working?

We have a chance to put some pressure on our elected representatives because this is an election year. The only real weapon we have to use against our representatives is our vote.

There has been some discussion as to what we might be able to do on several other threads. Some ideas suggested were:

A national rally and march to be held at some future date in Washington, D.C. that should be done before our legislators pass any new bill concerning the illegal aliens.

A campaign to send postcards informing our representatives on our feelings about the illegal aliens.

Make telephone calls to our representatives' offices.

Some other options:

Rallys and marches in several main locations around the country on the same day, such as in Washington, D.C., a city in Texas and a city in California.

Rallys and marches in many cities around the country on the same day.

A petition campaign where volunteers gather signatures of registered voters and forward the petitions to our representatives.

In addition to what I have here, FReepers are encouraged to add their own ideas or to pick the plan that they think will work the best. Discuss the advantages and drawbacks of any plan.

I think the rally and march ideas will be the hardest plan to execute. Permits will be required which would not be that much of a problem. Enlisting guest speakers, getting P.A. equipment together, paying for sanitation facilities (portapotties), paying for cleanup and paying for insurance and security make this the most difficult option. Travel and lodging make this option somewhat time consuming and expensive. There is also the possibility of violence being instigated by the other side.

I favor a petition campain. Here is why and here is how I think we could work it.

Many on FR would be willing to send in a postcard. But if friends, acquantinces and co-workers are approached about sending their representative a postcard many simply would not bother to do it. Too much work for them.

It would be much easier to get them to sign their names and addresses on a petition. It is something that they could do immediately.

If each interested person on FR could print up a petition and get 20 signatures on it and send it in that could mean a lot of signatures.

If each interested person on FR could get 20 signatures on a petition and pass out other petitions to his friends and other interested people to get 20 signatures on, that would be a lot more signatures. The FReeper could collect all the petitions from his friends and others and send them all in at once.

We need some ideas on how the petition should be worded. Most of us have printers and we can print our own petitions.

In addition to the petition, FReepers could be encouraged to call and to write their representatives. Let them know that we mean business.

Please discuss any ideas you have on this thread. What do you think is the best idea or combination of ideas? Do you have any ideas to add?

We need to generate an offense, so let's roll!

Let's rephrase that to: " It looks like a real no-win situation, all right."

I was just trying to toss a little ironic humor into my original response, not discouragement.

We can no more afford to lose this war against illegal invasion than we can afford to lose the war on terror. Each in one way or the other threatens to alter our way of life forever, for the worse.

Having not the slightest idea of my own as to how to deal with the problem, I have been observing one group that does-"The minuteman project". They have been condemned as vigilantes and/or worse by everyone from the President of the USA to the congress to the ACLU to the mobs in the streets of the USA,waving Mexican flags, to the current sonovabitch serving as Emperor of Mexico, Vicente Coyote.

The condemnation of the Minuteman project by this group, in my humble opinion is a resounding endorsement for the minuteman project. And from this second forward I pledge to support them anyway I can.

I do think that we need to organize a blessed protest of our own.

A Day Without Americans would get attention.

National ID

A large population of this BBS are totally against national ID. Apparently, only illegal aliens would be required to carry ID.

LOL! R.W., that just seems to be pure BS.

Wouldn't that encourage illegal aliens with even minimal brain power to skip the ID process, knowing full well that anyone caught without a ID card would presumed to be a citizen in good standing?

"The condemnation of the Minuteman project by this group, in my humble opinion is a resounding endorsement for the minuteman project".

If the enemy hates it, it is good for our side.

Threads, many threads, have scrolled by about a National ID. It is amazing how many consider National ID to be some kind of attack on Constitutional rights.

Start by impeaching or flat out removing the position that this Fed. Judge has.

Associated Press Nov. 30, 2004 06:12 PM TUCSON - A federal judge on Tuesday temporarily barred the state from implementing a ballot initiative aimed at cutting illegal immigrants off from public benefits. U.S. District Judge David C. Bury's order said a lawsuit by initiative opponents raised questions about the constitutionality of Proposition 200, which was approved by voters on Nov. 2. His temporary restraining order bars the measure from becoming law until at least Dec. 22, when he has scheduled a hearing on the lawsuit. "We believe that this is a promising start to ensure that the proposition doesn't become law," said Ann Marie Tallman, president and general counsel of the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, which filed the lawsuit on behalf of the plaintiffs, including several undocumented immigrants. advertisement The suit filed here Tuesday argues that Proposition 200 is unconstitutional because it usurps the federal government's power to regulate immigration. Proposition 200 requires proof of immigration status when obtaining certain government services and proof of citizenship when registering to vote. Government workers who don't report illegal immigrants who try to get benefits face jail time and a fine. The judge's order said his decision shouldn't be construed as a comment on the legality of the proposition. Bury said the order would give the court time to consider issue. Gov. Janet Napolitano's spokeswoman, Jeanine L'Ecuyer, said Napolitano had been planning to sign a proclamation Wednesday declaring that Proposition 200 is state law. However, she and Napolitano general counsel Tim Nelson said the judge's order apparently bars the governor from issuing the proclamation. "Our understanding is that the judge's intent is that it not take effect," L'Ecuyer said.

No matter how many propositions or acts of Congress pass denying Federal or State benefits given to illegals, there will always be a Judge or an appellate court to overturn the law. The only way to put an absolute stop to this would be a Constitutional Amendment denying benefits, illegals crossing the border just to give birth, (Like that would ever pass) and a strong crackdown on businesses who hire illegals.

Destroying the current system and corruption in Mexico (And other countries) and initiating some kind of self government in which people can progress would also stop the illegals (Sorry NAFTA and other alphabet treaties will not work).

As long as America is prosperous and other countries remain a stagnant class system we will always have illegals.

We have the right to petition the government.

The judge should be impeached.

How do we go about getting it done?

I simply don't KNOW what to do.

I am stunned and in early 04 was taken off FR for questioning the President's statement

"Illegal immigrants do the jobs that Americans won't do."

All I know is that this mantra could get one hurt today (by me!) and I still am STUNNED that Bush doesn't get it. Rest assured, if any pro illegal legislation passes, there will be an uprising.

Lawsuit Challenges Napolitano’s Proposition 200 Ruling

JANUARY 30, 2006 Washington, DC—Phoenix attorney David Abney, representing the Federation for American Immigration Reform, the Yes on Proposition 200 Committee and others, today filed an appeal before the Arizona Court of Appeals for Maricopa County challenging a blatant attempt on the part of the governor and attorney general to nullify the decision of more than a million Arizona voters who approved Proposition 200 in November 2004. Proposition 200 clearly was designed to bar illegal aliens from accessing public benefits and services. An opinion written by Attorney General Terry Goddard and an executive order issued by Gov. Janet Napolitano effectively nullified the will of the voters by limiting its implementation to just a handful of inconsequential programs.

Looks like Arizona might have to recall their Govenor as well.

Impeaching a judge is so rare that a hen growing a full set of teeth the same day would not make the cut for the five o'clock news.

As to how we get it done? Let's fix the impossible border problem before we attempt miracles.

Tell Congress To Say NO to Amnesty for Illegals!

I just took action to help STOP "guest worker" amnesty for illegal aliens,
and thought you might want to help too!
