Nominate real conservatives!

I realize we make comprimises on certain things, but we end-up paying for it latter. I'd rather not have McCain nominated, even if that means the other real conservative doesn't win. Those that comprimise the important issues aren't worthy of representing us, as they damage us far too much.

With friends like this, who needs....

Addressing the article and not your post --- the elected officeholders are feeling heat.

By no veto's Bush has let the Senate run wild! Homeland Security, Campaign finance, tieing his hands on the war, spending, judges, energy independence. The Senate is killing this Country.

I'm curious if the dems will pay for this as I'm sure many of their constituents are starting to look at the situation as dire. I'm sure this next mid-term election will focus on this.

"We do not need more people from foreign countries coming in taking the jobs of Americans and bidding down our wages. We can do those jobs, even in the fields," Mr. Rohrabacher said...

As for who might be willing to take up the hard labor many illegal aliens now perform on U.S. farms, Mr. Rohrabacher had a suggestion. "The millions of young men who are prisoners around our country can pick the fruits and vegetables," he said. "I say let the prisoners pick the fruits."

We don't need immigrants bidding down our wages in the fields...we will have prisoners do the picking? And the cogent arguments out of Washington continue.

Here's the boilerplate:

It is my opinion that we are already in WWIV ( WWIII being the Cold War ) and there are two, somewhat interlocking elements to it:

Islam, a Religion of Peace®? ( links, blogs, quips, quotes, aggravating pictures ) is located here- click the Pic, and scroll backwards:

"Thunder on the Border," click the picture:

( PS- my personal prediction? That picture will become one of the most widely distributed, and most hated, pictures on the internet. The Illegal lobby could not have done more damage to themselves with that "Mexican Flag Superior, America in Distress" photograph if they had tried... )

Now, here's some of the "why" behind part of it:

My wife- the "former Democrat"-- finally "got" why unrestricted, illegal immigration is bad- when she saw what it did in our neighborhood, to the value of our house. Try to sell your home when 2 doors down the duplex has a yard full of cars ( and trucks, the newest & gaudiest ), three satellite dishes, and 15 or so people living in a space meant for four?

Good luck.

This is an "Issue" that cuts across party lines, demographics, and everything else.

In addition, whatever the arguable social costs are ( and there are many, despite what apologists for Illegal Aliens claim-- you simply cannot ignore the vast breech it causes in National Security when we are engaged in the fourth world war.

Months ago, Roger Hedgecock reported that besides the usual Arabic detritus being found along our borders by Homeland Security, they were finding Chinese trash as well.

WTH is coming over our borders?

In case anyone does not know what the existing immigration laws are, read this. Something I posted yesterday:
Provisions:

Established measures to control U.S. borders, protect legal workers through worksite enforcement, and remove criminal and other deportable aliens:

Increased border personnel, equipment, and technology as well as enforcement personnel at land and air ports of entry; Authorized improvements in barriers along the Southwest border; Increased anti-smuggling authority and penalties for alien smuggling; Increased penalties for illegal entry, passport and visa fraud, and failure to depart; Increased INS investigators for worksite enforcement, alien smuggling, and visa overstayers; Established three voluntary pilot programs to confirm the employment eligibility of workers and reduced the number and types of documents that may be presented to employers for identity and eligibility to work; Broadly reformed exclusion and deportation procedures, including consolidation into a single removal process as well as the institution of expedited removal to speed deportation and alien exclusion through more stringent grounds of admissibility; Increased detention space for criminal and other deportable aliens; Instituted 3- and 10-year bars to admissibility for aliens seeking to reenter after having been unlawfully present in the United States; Barred re-entry of individuals who renounced their U.S. citizenship in order to avoid U.S. tax obligations.

Placed added restrictions on benefits for aliens:

Provided for a pilot program on limiting issuance of driver's licenses to illegal aliens; Declared aliens not lawfully present ineligible for Social Security benefits; Established procedures for requiring proof of citizenship for Federal public benefits

The shape of politics to come.

Democrats will break apart into two sects. Left and Lefter (think "Dumb and Dumber".)

Republicans will become the business/corporate globalist branch of the DNC. Ignoring the will of the people and abandoning Conservatives in favor of elite corporate globalists.

Finally leaving us:

The flag is actually the British Conservative flag, I like it, but we could alter it for our needs.

Otherwise, the old stand by will do nicely:

Anyway, I'm sort of having a laugh here, so don't take this post too seriously, except for the part about the d@mned rats.

OK, so I do feel like we're being betrayed by the Republicans, they aren't doing enough to convince me they are going to solve this problem. They need to learn some fear, big time.

All in all, this is superb news. The article does make a little lame attempt in the very middle to give equal time to the RINOS, witness this quote from Uber RINO Mccain:

"Our reforms need to reflect the realities," Mr. McCain said. "We need guest workers in this country. There are some jobs Americans are simply unwilling to do."

I think it was Thomas Sowell who pointed out that illegals make up the majority in no profession, therefore there are by definition Americans doing every kind of job in the USA today. There are NO jobs which Americans won't do, and they could stand to get paid a bit more for the jobs they are doing!!

But Mccain's big lie about jobs Americans don't want, grows into a bigger lie about jobs Americans are "simply unwilling to do". It's not true, there is not one category of work today that ONLY illegal Mexicans do and NO Americans do, proof that Americans will and do perform every kind of job there is.

I don't know what to do about the illegals here, but what I DO know is that we need a fence, NOW.

As another Freeper mentioned, when a pipe is leaking, and flooding your house, you fix the leak before you start bailing.

Does anyone find these numbers extrememly fishy?

"According to a poll by the Pew Research Center and Pew Hispanic Center released yesterday, 52 percent of Americans view immigrants as a burden because they take jobs and housing -- up from 38 percent in 2000 -- compared with 41 percent, who believe they strengthen the country. The poll also found 53 percent of Americans support sending illegals home, while 40 percent said they should be put on some sort of path toward citizenship."

They seem awfully low and that 40% figure awfully high.

The Republican Party wont take this issue seriously because to the moneymen in the party, big businness needs trump the needs of the nation. Look at what happened to the meatpacking industry in the South Dakota. When the INS tried to remove illegals working in the plants the republican governor, a republican senator (Thune) and legislature went nuts and had the inspectors removed. I campaigned for the President in 2000 and 2004, but I wont this next cycle. This issue could lead to loss of the House, Conyers as Judiciary Chairman and then impeachment proceedings....mark my word.

" "Our reforms need to reflect the realities," Mr. McCain said. "We need guest workers in this country. There are some jobs Americans are simply unwilling to do."

This should be taken as a direct insult to all Americans. We can, and will do anything to get a job done. J.D. Hayworth should tell McCain his gig is over in the Senate.

I'm wondering if this is a Karl Rove strategy in the Senate taking place.

1) Let the Dems pass their bill in the Senate

2) Let the Dems attack the House version.

3) Put both in front of the American people and let them decide which party should run the country.

Bush's support of Arlen Specter over Pat Toomey, and his refusal to endorse Brett Schundler in his race against Frank Lautenberg, is starting to make sense. Bush really did not want too many conservatives around who might block his amnesty initiatives, or who might criticize his unholy friendship with that corrupt Vicente Fox.

What is with the Bush family, anyway? Vicente Fox? Bill Clinton? One would think they would befriend more honorable people.

"Hill conservatives warn Bush of amnesty anger"

Well good. Maybe one of my many phone calls and emails was heard and taken seriously. All week long last week I got to tell the RNC and the RNCC callers that we will no longer financially support the party until they get something done as it relates to the borders. No money! I told the RNC caller to make sure they get an urgent message to Ken Mehlman that the grassroots is no longer going to send money until this matter is addressed and addressed properly.

I'd rather not have McCain nominated, even if that means the other real conservative doesn't win.

Actually, a real conservative has a much better chance of winning than a rino/(closet democrat) like McCain. Reagan, and other real conservatives have proved that fact by winning in landslides by unabashedly running as conservatives. If a republican moves to "center", as the MSM always advises a republican to do, the republican either loses or maybe squeaks by with a win.
