If ALL flags are banned, where is the problem again? You're missing the point. Your citizenship has just been revoked, because you have been deemed to be a threat to the other side.
The racism in Longmont is directed against Anglos, and the Anglos are forbidden from reacting. Where's the fairness in that? Hmmm?

Liberals are fascists; they don't believe in freedom unless it is a convenient way to prop up their POV du jour. Freedom is only a tool to them, not an end in itself.

Don't tell me - high school students you agree with should have unlimited free speech rights during school hours?
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
In order to maintain order and safety ALL schools must restrict free speech, free press, free assembly, and free expression of religion. Add to this list that it is IMPOSSIBLE for any school to be religiously neutral in content or consequences.
So...why on earth are we allowing government to own and run schools that violate ALL of the above??? huh? Why do we allow government to be in the education business?
Government should NEVER be in the business of threatening parents and students with prison or foster care to fill buildings that are really prisons. In these government school prisons children are told to shut up, sit still, and told with whom they must or must not associate, forbidden expression of their deepest religious beliefs and then filled them with government indoctrination that can never be religious neutral in content or consequences.
Solution: Begin the process of privatizing universal education!
If we do this order and civility will return to our nation's PRIVATE schools and our pre-college schools will be the envy of the world just as our post high school system is now.

Stumpf said he feared the conduct with flags on schools grounds could "pretty quickly erupt into violence."
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Would you want your child attending a school that is so racially volatile that a flag could "pretty quickly erupt into violence"?
Would you want to work at a business that was this volatile?
What the government is doing is FORCING children into an environment that is dangerous and would challenge the diplomatic skills of the most mature adult!! For most of these children attendance at this "quickly to erupt" monstrosity is not voluntary. If these kids don't show up armed police will soon be at their doors threatening prison or foster care.
Let's call this what it REALL IS! It is government enforced and perpetuated emotional and physical CHILD ABUSE.
Solution: Begin the process of privatizing universal K-12 education.

According to the principal, they were banned for school safety.
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
If a child can not safely bring an American Flag to school then that school is dangerously out of control and unsafe.
That child is being FORCED by the government into an abusive environment that even a mature adult would find difficult to manage. I call is government sponsored and perpetrated CHILD ABUSE!

Parents need to get off their behinds and get involved.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Parents should remove their children from government schools everywhere. They should then go to the polls and vote NO to government schools.
Shut these irrational " pretty quickly erupt into violence" indoctrination camps DOWN!

What they showed at the end of the report was my daughter waving her little U.S. flag. Woo-hoo! I love the image.

this kid who organized a rally said his CA school tried to interfere with his right to organize a patriotic USA meeting on school property while giving time to the school's racist MECHA club, they confiscated his flags then suspended him and threatened to have him arrested for trying to organize on his own time, off campus.
While in the meantime, kids in CA by the thousands were allowed hold pro Mexico National rallies on campus, with Mexican flags and were allowed to walk off campus, greeted by mayors and were provided bus transportation by the schools, all on taxpayers money!!!!
Folks it is a sorry day when our kids can can be penalized and threatened with arrest for being patriotic and loyal to the laws and sovereignty of the USA One senses that within thirty years - almost certainly within fifty - California isn't even going to _BE_ "California" any more.
It was nice while it was ours. But it increasingly looks like California isn't going to be "ours" all that much longer....

Please don't twist my words - I've stated if a school is going to ban ONE flag, they have to ban ALL - have a good night. I'll twist your words.
In many schools, in how many states, is one permitted to walk around openly displaying the swastika flag of the Third Reich?
So, by your logic above, since schools may [reasonably] ban the display of the Nazi flag, they are _also_ required to ban the _American_ flag?
Go elsewhere with your nonsense.

I just posted this on another thread but it looks like it might be of some use in this one too:
The First Amendment protects the right of citizens to express themselves in a variety of ways. Public school students, as young citizens, may engage in many modes of expression from the words they speak to the ideas they write and even the clothes they wear.
Students can engage in political speech, which is considered the type of speech at the core of the First Amendment. The Founding Fathers considered such speech essential to the development of a constitutional democracy. The U.S. Supreme Court spelled out those rights in a case concerning public school students who spoke out on a major political issue of their time the Vietnam War.

Read the story please - ALL flags, not just American, were banned for school safety. Where does it say Hispanic students were suspended for
bringing their flags to school? It says the Principal
stepped in after American flags were brought to school
because it was seen as potentially a racist statement.

Since when did it become racist to display our American Flag on American soil??
The Mexican flag has no business being waved on our soil. I don't care.
Enablers of law breaking are just as guilty as the law breakers and they should be charged as such. it is not racist to enforce the laws of America.
This is going to get ugly if we don't get control of our borders and stop our pandering for votes congress critters.

I agree. Any person should have the right to demonstrate at any time under constutional law, period. The students should respect the school rule of law also, it is this retarded principle who has no understanding of what being American is.

1. We homeschool.
2. I'm not in charge of the school - the weak apologist Stumpf is. This is a leadership issue. His decision only draws the spotlight to the condition you describe - weakness in the face of bad behaviour for decades. Hundreds of similar decisions is how you end up here.
3. Any form of privatization or choice will naturally lead to a better situation, and more satisfied customers, and a better product - as it has in all other markets. I just thought of this - re public schools. Think about GM - how long ago did we know they could not compete on product? Ten years? Twenty years+? (Remember - trucks are protected by tarrif) - now look where GM is. How long have we known public schools were underperforming - ten years? Twenty years .... do the math. I'm rambling and going to bed.

I agree with the person who said, "If the Mexico flag had been prohibited immediately, there would probably have been no need to prohibit 'all flags.'" What those people did with regard to the US and the flag was disrespectful and illegal. So that disrespect should have been dealt with IMMEDIATELY.
I do believe that people should be allowed to leave their unsatisfactory country and come LEGALLY to the USA for the American Dream. BUT they should be willing to embrace the laws of this dream country. They come because the USA is better -- so they should expect us and want us to do our best to keep it as it is -- not to let it be flooded with people wanting to change it into another Mexico (or whatever). FLYING the MEXICO FLAG OVER THE UPSIDEDOWN US FLAG -- EXCUSE ME! That's hardly the way to convince the US to keep those persons. If the Mexico flag is better than the US flag to someone -- they should go back home and fly it proudly. If the USA is where they prefer to be -- then come here legally and fly Old Glory proudly.

If ALL flags are banned, where is the problem again? Sounds like appropriate safety control to me.Banning the American flag on American soil.
And you don't see a problem with that.
