ABC News suspended the executive producer of the weekend edition of "Good Morning America" yesterday over a pair of leaked e-mails in which he used inflammatory language to slam President Bush and Madeleine Albright.
John Green, whose unpaid suspension will last one month, apologized to the White House in a call to communications director Nicolle Wallace, while two ABC executives called the former secretary of state to apologize.[snip]
In one of the e-mails,... Green wrote to a colleague: "Are you watching this? Bush makes me sick. If he uses the 'mixed messages' line one more time, I'm going to puke."
Green, who was not made available for comment yesterday, wrote his colleagues after that leak to say "how much I regret the embarrassment that this story causes ABC. It was an inappropriate thing to say, and I'm deeply sorry." [snip]
The second leaked e-mail surfaced Thursday on the New York Post's gossipy Page Six. In that note, Green wrote that Albright should not be booked on the show because "Albright has Jew shame."
Albright, who was raised as a Roman Catholic, acknowledged her Jewish heritage in 1997 after it was discovered by Washington Post reporter Michael Dobbs in the course of researching a book.
Green wrote in that note that "she hates us anyway because she says we promised her five minutes and only gave her two . . . I do not like her." An ABC insider said Green was reacting to a heated dispute between Albright and a network producer. [snip]
"Everyone who works at ABC News is unhappy with the situation..." Schneider said. But, he said, "I don't think the e-mails tell us anything about the show John Green was putting on the air every Saturday and Sunday, which is fair and balanced and down the middle."

Mr. Green, just say Adios. You one apple, narrow minded....
I completely agree...yet the title of the article leads one to believe otherwise.
Someone gets bounced for speaking one's mind? What is wrong with that picture? I favor bouncing the closeted more than the uncloseted. The former are disingenuous, and claim to be what they are not.
Was the problem that the Bush bashing couldn't overcome.
I'll bet if the guy had only bashed bush, there wouldn't be a problem, it was his second email that was the real thing that the network was embarassed about.
BWAHAHAHAHA!!!
An ABC News piece, fair and unbalanced?? Right. And so was Dan Rather's "memogate".
Ditto.
The same colleagues he wrote the original e-mail to? Seems to me he was writing to colleagues whom he knew hated Bush just as much as he did. Fair and balanced..., right.
" Are you watching this? Bush makes me sick. If he uses the 'mixed messages' line one more time, I'm going to puke."
""I don't think the e-mails tell us anything about the show John Green was putting on the air every Saturday and Sunday, which is fair and balanced and down the middle.""
Thanks, I needed a little comedy relief today.
The parallel universe where libs live is mighty crowded these days.
I don't have a problem with the guy expressing a point of view, as long as ABC News acknowledges that they're biased.
In one of the e-mails,... Green wrote to a colleague: "Are you watching this? Bush makes me sick. If he uses the 'mixed messages' line one more time, I'm going to puke."
ABC "news" makes me puke. That's why I don't watch it. For those who may not know, ABC is part of the Disney company (DIS) which has "gay days" at Disney World so families with small children can be exposed to their "lifestyle".

"Allbright has Jew shame."
Definitely not politically correct. It's OK to say that the Israelis are behaving like Nazis, persecuting the poor, downtrodden Palestinians, because that can pose as anti-Israelism rather than anti-Semitism, and anti-Israelism has been sanctified by the Left. But "Jew shame" is a definite no-no.
Not much doubt which remark got him fired. "Bush makes me sick" wouldn't even make a liberal's head turn.
And these people say it with a straight face. Shouldn't there be an Oscar category for News Producers, "Best role as an unbiased producer."
This guy was closeted until someone leaked the email.
That said, I'd prefer they give the evening news anchor job.
