Do you think the mourners should whoop ass before, during or immediately after the funeral?

The whoopin would be done by the members of Rolling Thunder or anyone else who were in attendance here in Michigan to help silence the members of that wacko group from the Westboro Baptist Church......

MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT, it is Westboro and Westboro alone who are spawning this unneeded legislation and as soon as they get their asses whuped, the sooner they will cease and desist.........

So, it should be reliant upon IF some group is in attendance to do the whoopin' for the mourners? Better to have a fight break out at the funerals?

Google is your friend as is FR search. There may have been isolated cases but the only group conducting this crusade is the Westboro Baptist Church.

Now if you feel that the actions of one wacko religious group consisting mainly of wacko family members needs to be identified, publicized and ultimately have government legislation drawn up because of their idiotic activities, then go join Nannystate.com.........

You haven't answered my question. Do you prefer that fights break out at funerals?

Thank you! The WBC has wrecked havoc at graveside services. Funerals need to be protected in private Cemeteries too.

Some people, like Hot Tabasco, would rather have fights break out at funerals. Hard to say which would be the lesser disruption, the protestors calling the deceased names, or the fight.

Do you prefer Federal nannystate intervention due to the antics of one sick group of wackos when the only logical way to treat them is to first identify them , ostracize them, ridicule them then ultimately ignore them?

When that doesn't work then kick their butts out of town........

All this talk about legislation is exactly what ole Westboro Baptist Church is "praying" for. Who was it that said "Negative Press is better than no Press at all..."???

I'm sure Westboro thanks you for your legislative concern........LOL!

Signed and commented....

Those who cannot respect our fallen hero's do not deserve their freedom. God help us, don't these people realize how others have suffered under dictators and tyrants.

My heart weeps for the families who have lost their cherished love ones. My deepest gratitude to those who serve and to those who served our nation because they believed America was worth fighting for.

Shame to those who disrespect their valor.

Hasn't worked so far.

I would prefer to see legislation aimed at law enforcement allowing them the right to look the other way when idiots attempt to do what idiots do while thinking they are not in the presence of adults.........

If cops were to turn a blind eye to everything, what type of country would this be? One of chaos. That doesn't sound inviting. You could be robbed and a cop could turn his head and look the other way. Your home could be broken into and the cops could turn the other way. Play the music in your house, too loud and the neighbor comes over and shoots you dead, and the cops can turn their heads the other way. Why would you endorse such chaos?

Laws or rules are a means by which civilizations become/remain civilized.

This idiots protesting a hero's funeral must be stopped. We have the right to free speech but not the right to be heard.

The thing to keep in mind is that they are not being deprived of their right to free speech, they are only being limited to being within 500 yards of the funeral.

This would seem to be a law that each state would want to consider.

And thank you to all the Patriot Guard Riders who have continued their duty to their country and brothers even when their tours have ended.

Members of the Patriot Guard Riders form a "cordon of honor" for funeral procession of a fallen servicemember.

Yes, google is our friend.

I think you better go check out all the states the Patriot Guard Riders have been covering to shield families from protesters. It is NOT just Westboro Baptist Church protesting funerals.
