Right now it is the people who are being treated that are going bankrupt. Medical bills are the leading cause in bankruptcies.
I was reading all the posts to see if someone would bring this subject up. Bankruptcies. It is a fact that most bankruptcies are due to high medical bills. So, the hospital gets no money out of the deal for the services they provided to the "alleged poor." So, being that this is fact, I see no issue with the "alleged poor" being charged less, as long as that means they CAN'T file bankruptcy. But, punishing the wealthy with picking up the slack. That's just wrong.
