I strongly disagree!

Daylight saving has just come to an end. We've turned our clock BACK one hour...:)

i have conceded on this. i had thought i hated DST more than anyone, but i stand corrected!

Let's just say you've got a LOT of company. Myself included. I've despised this crap since they pushed it through.

Ditto.
I just tried to reset my stupid watch. Now it's on 12:00 and I managed to reset the date to January 1! I can reset most things, but for some reason this stupid Nike watch befuddles me. There are only 2 buttons, and it's some weird combo to make it actually set a new time, other than just resetting it back to 12. I suppose I will have to wake up at midnight and set it then! Drat.

I'm a morning person, and I hate it. I once read something interesting about the actual cost in missed work and accidents caused by people being tired. It was interesting. I think our politicians are stupid, but that's not really news.... :)

I am sorry, I guess you meant from another country, where they don't do daylight savings.

Some countries have DST on a slightly different schedule than ours. I once won a rather significant bar bet because, at the time of the bet, France was off of NYC by 5 hours, rather than the normal 6.

Fine, then leave it on DST. Just leave it ALONE.

I'm with you! The most convincing justification I've ever seen for it was a Dave Barry column explaining that it started as a prank by gov't employees with too little to do to see if they could get the whole country to change their clocks twice a year for no reason.

I really don't see why people get all wound up over this.

Personally, I prefer dawn beginning at 4:30am instead of 3:30am, and nightfall at nearly 9:00pm instead of 8:00pm.

I'd rather have it the other way around. But -- mostly -- I'd just rather have it stay the same all year round!

I yearn for the days when Evan Bayh was our governor.

And I never in my wildest nightmares thought I would willingly rush to the polls and vote for a democrat.
I will be doing that this fall, voting against my state reps, who voted for this fiasco, and in Nov. 2008.

I am looking forward to voting against Mitch. Its going to be like Christmas morning when I get to vote for his opponent.

I don't think I can stomach the dem. His or her main platform will probably be banning some video game or some other tripe. But I have no problem voting libertarian again. Either way, I get to vote against one term Mitch.

It's going to be funny to watch him lose the election because of DST. Hopefully our lawmakers will revoke it, but I think that they never will, honestly, even if 70% of the state gets behind the initiative. Our only hope was to keep it from passing, and we failed.

Oh, and I really need to get on the net and search for the list of them that voted for it so I can vote against every last on of them.
