I spotted the same resemblance.

Alas, my bias is toward three...

Immortal comment from an unidentified Constellation pilot: It takes one hell of a man to handle three pieces of tail at once.

Actually the PB-4Y 2 Privateer had slightly better performance than the standard twin tail B-24. However the increase was not signicant enough to warrant the stopping of production of the twin tail B-24.

The Privateers it shoudl be noted were optimized for low level operations. Many of the PB4Y 2s had two top turrets as well.
