There seems to be a never-ending and constantly-replenished supply of self-important jerks who believe that the rules and customs that the rest of us follow do not apply to them.

You know, this applies to almost any group. There will always be those who think they are more important than the rules or anyone else.

Was down in N.C. one time and heard a trooper tell a story about stopping a speeding car near a NASCAR track. Walked up to the window and saw it was Jeff Gordon behind the wheel.

Officer proceeded to write ticket without making small talk while Mr. Gordon huffed and puffed, finally blurting out, "Don't you know who I am?"

Officer kept writing and drawled, "Why, yes, I do, Mr. Gordon. And I'm an Earnhardt fan, myself."
