WASHINGTON -- A lawyer for Rep. Cynthia McKinney, the Georgia congresswoman who had an altercation with a Capitol Police officer, says she was "just a victim of being in Congress while black."
McKinney awaited word Friday on whether she would be charged for apparently striking the officer after she entered a House office building this week unrecognized and did not stop when asked.
Two law enforcement officials said it was unlikely a warrant would be issued this week. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly.
Her lawyer, James W. Myart Jr., said, "Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, like thousands of average Americans across this country, is, too, a victim of the excessive use of force by law enforcement officials because of how she looks and the color of her skin."

Crazy, but like a fox: Her lies will be argued to a District of Columbia jury.

Oh yeah? Well I am a victim of being fat while Irish with dyed red hair - so there !! ((hee hee)).
Danny Glover has turned out to be quite the racist rabble-rouser. I am quite certain I will never again watch one of his movies.
Get a load of this! lol
All of it wasted by twits like this publicity/camera hound.
And I suspect this is why she consistenly refuses to wear her congressional pin, she's just looking for an excuse be a victim and blame whitey.
Never mind the honkies aren't above the law to wear their ID badges.
what a CROCK !!!!!
and what's McKinney's lawyer's excuse for the Capitol Police removing the FL Congressman's wife from the State of the Union address for wearing a pro-war t-shirt ? Or even Cindy Sheehan. They both looked pretty white to me. This is Cynthia's ego and total lack of discipline at play, no one else's racism
Could it be these guys are doing the job they are hired and paid to do ? Cynthia was NOT wearing her Member's pin as is required for Members to bypass the security checks and frankly her looks aren't all that memorable. Let her just ONCE be a big girl and accept responsibility.
I wonder what JC Watts thinks of all this BS
With my thanks. :^)

Ms McKinney is guilty of acting like a junkyard dog.
She should have been collared and arrested on the spot.
Ms. McKinney repeatedly refuses to wear her identification and its unreasonable to expect every cop to know all the 500-600 odd Conggresscritters by face - although Ms. McKinney's is certainly an outstanding example of an exceptionally ugly visage.
By the way, they should ALL have to go through the scanners like everybody else. Are we to believe a Congresscritter can't go nuts? Ms. McKinney's apparent inexcusable behavior and track record of arrogance is a perfect argument for universal scanning.
You would have thought that old red herring of racism would have died out by now. We have had a black Secretary State - still do, black generals, and hopefully a black Republican woman nominee for President in 2008.
Goons like McKinney shouldn't be permitted to hide behind her melanin to excuse their insuffable arrogance and contempuous behavior.
I wonder if American Express has ever thought of doing a line of commercials using these incidents and people.
You know, for their ultra-high-end BLACK CARD.
Oh, there most certainly was a crime committed here. Someone went and beat the Congresswoman with an ugly stick.
ROFL..maybe they really do try to forget her face after they see her..ala Helen Thomas.
