If McClintock chooses to endorse Morrow or to stay out of this particular race that choice is his and his alone to make.

And once again - I hate the word RINO. When - someone please tell me when - the Republican party is going to stop eating itself from within. If it doesn't stop soon it is going to cost us dearly. The Republican divide is what the Dems hope and pray for daily - and language such as this is only helping their cause.

Debate the issues, take a stand, be strong in what you believe. But please stop dragging out the RINO card every time a (R) says something you don't like, or God Forbid, commits the mortal sin of entering a primary against someone you support.

Kaloogian is running against other Republicans in this race. It is perfectly reasonable for McClintock to decline to endorse Kaloogian now, when he endorsed him against a Democrat before.

Norm, why did you post this story?
It does no one any good, neither Tom nor Howard.

Get a grip! Tom's endorsing NO ONE because he feels Morrow is also a good candidate. That's entirely reasonable.

This is just one more of the "Special K" (K for KOOK?) scandals in this campaign:

- The Istanbul, Turkey photo his site claimed was one taken in Baghdad (and yet no actually Baghdad photo has been posted to replace it).

- The pro-life organization he claimed had endorsed him has not

- now he's trying to make it look like Tom endorsed him over fellow conservative Morrow which didn't happen

- it gets worse if he tried to say Morrow endorsed him over himself!!

I suggest Howard should be going down in flames of his political stupidity.

-- There, that should placate those who feel their and my candidate of choice in the Recall and upcoming Lt Gub race is being skewered unfairly on this forum. ;-)

Two questions:

1) Why would Morrow, like McClintock, also want Kaloogian to remove his (Morrow's) likeness and quotes from the campaign mailer?

2) Why isn't Morrow endorsing Kaloogian?

>> Let me get this stright, Tom... so Howard was good enough to endorse for the Senate 2 years ago but not for the House now? <<

Two years ago, Howard was the ONLY solid conservative in the Senate race (the other candidates were RINO Rosario Marin and center-right establishment Republican Bill Jones) This time around, Howard is one of MANY candidates with solid conservative credentials to seek this House seat.

Two years ago, Howard was running with the Davis recall fresh in voters minds and had only recently been out of office. Now the ercall that saddled us with Davis-clone Ahnuld is yesterday's news and Howard's been away from elective office for quite some time, while Morrow's been at the forefront every day the Assembly is in session.

Alot of things have changed in two years. Tom McClintock noticed, I guess you didn't. Pat Buchanan found this out the hard way when he thought his 1996 "base" would do whatever he wanted in 2000.
