I am not aware of wearing red for the military in England but then again how many people in the States apart from people involved in this forum and other things linked to the military would be?

Of course...when I have to get ready I disappear for periods of time, too.
Good steak place? We have one here called Logan's Roadhouse that is very good. We go there whenever we want a real treat. They have wonderful steaks and the most amazing fresh homemade rolls.

We cut a bouquet of these yesterday and there are dozens of buds ready to open in the front bed and along the side of the house..They are as large as saucers.

Well, that sounds good, too. I really like Chinese food. All this talk of food is making me hungry for lunch....and I'm having a time making up my mind where to go for reals! LOL!

Supporting The Troops
Wearing Red on Friday
Well not "exactly" this.
Would scare everyone away if I posted what I wear doing yard work!
but the rain has started before I could burn my huge brush pile.
Hope all of the Finest have an outstanding weekend!

This has to be my favorite Pledge of Allwgiance graphic, Miss Billie,
and so very fitting for Friday's thread paying tribute to the troops
by wearing red, featuring their Commander-in-Chief.

Hi Meg! Thanks for the red flower pic ping! Those are a type of poppy correct?

As you are now aware after Dolly's excellent thread about me my favourite sport is football (soccer).
Today Condi Rice is in Britain our Forgein Secretary also is a football supporter and goes to most of Blackburn's home gams. Today he gave Condi a tour around the club and she was presented with a shirt.
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice holds a Blackburn Rovers soccer shirt as she poses for photographs with British Foreign Secreatry Jack Straw at the Ewood Park stadium in Blackburn, northern England, March 31, 2006

Greetings across the pond, snugs!
I LUV QUICHE!
I'm sitting here eating my lunch while I freep -
made a crab and tiny shrimp salad.
Yesterday I finished two days of devouring a whole bag
of baby spinach with homemade hot bacon dressing!
[in addition to full meals, of course]
I'm in the odd position of having to eat like crazy now
to maintain minimal weight...
am going 'back to basics' and loving all the things I had
growing up, and then some.
Stuff required protein like crazy -
meat, meat, eggs, cheese, more meat,,:)
