Reagan granted outright amnesty to 4 million illegals, no strings attached. And he was PROUD to do it.

Thanks for pointing that up, I didn't think of that. That was a wrong decision on his part. I wonder why our leaders always seem to disappoint us in the end.
I never quite understood the Reaganolotry of so many conservatives. Yes, Reagan did a lot to advance the conservative cause, but he also did some things to set it back, amnesty being one of them.
On the whole, his plusses outweigh his minuses, but to set him us as some standard of conservatism against which to measure everyone else is just plain dumb.
