Yank their chain!( EVERYBODY - and I mean EVERYBODY–take Friday off! (Americans Protest Illegals)
World Net Daily ^ | 3-30-06 | (Letter to Ed)

Posted on 03/30/2006 8:38:34 AM PST by Jo Nuvark

Yank their chain! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Illegal aliens marching in the street demanding rights? Politicians swooning at their feet?

How about they swoon at our feet? Worry about backlash from we the citizens! How about we give them a tug on the chain so they know who's in charge? How?

Everybody – and I mean everybody – take Friday off.

Not only does it tell the elites & their lackeys in D.C. that it's our country – not theirs – but it speaks the only language they understand: money. Hit them where it hurts.

If even a quarter of the people took this Friday off, that'd snap their heads around real quick.

EVERYBODY TAKE THIS FRIDAY OFF. It's a small, small price to pay to save the United States.

I'm in. Are you?

(Name withheld)

_______________________________________________________

(VANITY) This angry letter to World Net Daily urges real Americans NOT to show up to work on Friday. This also happens to be Caesar Chavez day and a lot of rallys and walkouts are being organized. My question is... will this work? Half the work force in the Southwest will be at the protests (rallys) anyway. Wouldn't a better protest be to withhold Government paychecks?

I'm one of the others on this thread trying to get something better together.

And what better idea would you suggest or go along with?

Just start paying our Senators in Mexican Pesos that's who they represent...

How does a citizen withhold a paycheck from an elected representative....?
I believe it's called a recall election.

I suppose we could march on the Federal Accounting office.
As you can see, I'm new at this.

I like your Peso idea.

So I see. And that one actually has merit to it.

The idea of stopping withholding by raising your exemptions is also worthy of consideration. People tend to understand a hit in the pocketbook and politicians are still people.(I think)

You might want to expand on the protest idea by finding out where certain key members of congress will be on that day (maybe five from the Senate and five from the House)and make sure they have their own band of protesters following them around. The targets would have to be small in number and you would need at least fifty to a hundred protesters to make a proper visual impact.

Also an idea with merit.

Who owns the land along the border? Would they permit us to build?

First we have to see if that date is after the upcoming vote on the illegal immigration legislation.

I have enlisted some others who are all trying to help out. They have more experience at this kind of thing than I do.

But I'm not afraid to get my feet wet.

A better idea may be to have FReepers organize protests on the same day around the country. Easier for more to attend.

I hate the idea of building a fence around the country.

But there really isn't much left to do. We have to do something to keep the world from getting into the country.

Mexicans are only 50 percent of the illegals in the country. But many come into the country across the Mexican border.

Chinese come in containers on container ships.

Other come across the Canadian border.

Some came in on work or school visas and never left after their visas expired.

For some reason our govenment wants them here and has been letting them in for years.

In my opinion, that reason is so the working class of this country is destroyed.

What other reason could there be?

The idea of a wall being built by citizens would put Eminent Domain in its proper application.
If you read the following, you will find landowners of border property ready to welcome an army
with bulldozers and cement mixers marching to the rescue.

A fence doesn't mean the tired, poor and downtrodden wouldn't get into the U.S.
It would mean that we would have an Ellis Island again. A gate with gate keepers.

Read the article referenced in post #190.

It's not just murderers and felons crossing the border, but diseases that can
ravage our people, our crops and our livestock.

I know that some will.

How much of it though is government land?

I imagine a lot of it is Government land.

Months ago I read a letter to Editor at World Net Daily that
suggested we widen and lengthen the Rio Grande River. Just
make one huge canal/border. I know that sounds HUGE, but
Japan built an Airport in the middle of the ocean. And California
built a huge aqueduct that runs the whole state.

(Tinfoil hat firmly in place)

Oh the environmental studies!

I think we would be better off starting with a wall. Or at least a stout fence.

Please, everyone, call employer after employer and demand to know their policy on hiring illegals and checking their documents. If they don't give a satisfactory answer, tell them they get no more of your money.

I agree with you. I hope something can be worked out so those who have made a home for themselves and their families will be allowed to stay - legally.

I think there needs to be a general spine corection for the Republican Party. I suggest an event, held on May Day, the traditional Socialist holiday, in ironic homage.

I suggest the following actions:

1. A mass postcard mail in - get people to send as many postcards as possible demanding the Congress change course. Send them to the White House as well as to every Republican legislator who does not support the correct position on this issue.

2. A rally in Washington. Call it the "Defend America" rally - a month is required to organise all the people bussing in. See if entertainers such as Ted Nugent will keep a crowd entertained as well.

Keep up the pressure with the postcards continually - I would send postcards that indicate where the writer is from, so that the legislators get an idea of the geographical sweep of the opposition to amnesty.

Regards, Ivan

And I already worked - just got home. What do I do?

Go to bed, I guess.

Another "Hold my beer and watch this" knee twitch.....I have enuff concrete forms to make a 60' wide wall.....it would take us 30 years to complete the wall.....From San Diego to Brownsville.

How about a idea to put troops on the border NOW. Both borders. We already pay these fine defenders of freedom to defend the country. Issue shoot on site orders to anyone not coming in thru the proper crossings. Require proper ID for all transactions so that illegals do not get a free ride at the expense of the rest of us.

My folks came here thru Ellis Island. Stood in line for a long time. Paid their dues. I am all for immigration....but you must not cut in line.....That is sooooo rude. Go to the back of the line like the rest of us.
