In what can only be described as a colossal surrender, the White House now seeks to relieve us of the burden of deporting the estimated 11 million people who have flouted our laws to gain entry to the United States.
We are told that we cannot possibly find every illegal immigrant. No kidding. We also have no hope of finding every speeder and every drug user. Shall we abandon those law enforcement efforts as well?
Laws send messages. Millions of people drive at the speed limit because they know they might be caught. Same with millions who might otherwise dabble in drugs. A nation that fails to enforce its immigration laws invites lawbreaking, and that is what we have done for decades.

Well there goes "Plan A"!
We're going to learn a lot about what they're made of in the run-up to this year's congressional elections.
illegal bump
In light of the general public's reaction to this (every single poll), it's time to ask them: "Just who is it that you claim to be representing?"
Amen. We should all immediately contact our representatives in D.C., and the Republican National Committee, and tell them to:
1) Deport illegal aliens.
2) Build a real wall on our southern border.
3) Punish those who employ illegal aliens.
We've heard the "cheaper lettuce" and "jobs Americans won't do" nonsense for too long. The burden & bankruptcy affecting our medical, educational, welfare and law enforcement resources far outweigh whatever dubious "benefits" illegals might provide.
To everyone who gives a damn: Make your phone calls, send your faxes and e-mails today.
Well, yes! At least if you are an illegal immigrant. A nice young officer here in Iowa was recently sent to "re-education camp" because he noticed many cars full of Mexicans daily traveling his patrol route.
He decided to pull several over, and "shockingly(!)" the drivers had no license or insurance. He issued tickets (that's all) and was called an the carpet as a "profiler" by the Mexican lobby, then sent to diversity training. No mention was made, of course, that these people actually WERE driving without a license or insurance.
The good people of Iowa read this story and were incensed! They supported the officer completely; to the point that his employers offered up a pseudo-apology.
That officer in Iowa should be promoted, the illegals he pulled over should be deported, and the employers who forced the officer to "diversity training" should be fired.
Unfortunately, what I just described would only happen in a better America.
Okay, just sent off some e-mails, will follow up with phone calls tomorrow.
Half our traffic laws seem to be the nitpicky kind an officer can use to get the opportunity to pull you over to look for something else if they want.
Virginia senators split on illegal immigrants [Allen wants them to go home... reapply
"Ultimately, I think they're going to have to go back to their country and reapply," Sen. George Allen said yesterday.

"There is no job Americans will not do. The hottest, most difficult, dirtiest and dangerous job in the world is rooting terrorists out of Fallujah. Marines are doing that job for $8.09 an hour."

We love him. He's been called an "embarrassment" by the Des Moines Register on several occasions...a true "badge of honor" for a conservative.
Well, I am a brand new admirer of his, I'll tell you that.
In fact, I have written him a note!
Thanks for the info. Allen has been relatively silent. Disappointed he didn't back Kyl/Cornyn and then push for negotiation to the right in reconciliation with the House's bill.
What is his definition of "ULTIMATELY"???
"Ultimately" would be the final outcome.
