How The GOP Can Survive The Immigration Debate
Dick Morris Wednesday, March 29, 2006
The immigration bill pending in Congress poses as crucial a test for GOP efforts to reach out to Hispanic voters as the 1964 Civil Rights Act did in determining the future partisan preferences of America's African-Americans...

Yep.
That is a point to be remembered. I think the the RATS won't even vote for the Judiciary Committee Bill, the Unions hate the Guest Worker provisions.
Thank you for the reminder! I'd forgotten about that. That 'splains a lot.
To wit, "Morris, the man charged with orchestrating the campaign that carried Vicente Fox to the presidency in 2000 after 71 years of PRI governments. . . ." That was from one of many Internet sources.
I am sick of these career political / businessmen clowns and their self-serving PR crap.
But that's not going to happen either. You might as well say "it's only a matter of having politicians who have the guts to take a pay cut".
Yeah, it would be nice but it is never going to happen. Both parties would rather coddle illegals than confront them. If I saw 500,000 illegals staging a protest, I'd get the INS to rope them off and check each one before leaving. But that's politically untenable. So is kicking out 11 million illegals. You have to find a more realistic solution.
Heheheheheheh...
Coming from one writer to another, I will wear that as a badge of honor! :)
He still does. On the payroll right now.
Heard him admit it on television yesterday.
The toe sucking pervert wants the Republican Party to be the same as the Democrat Party.
Well, "politically untenable" is a relative term -- and, there are other factors involved.

Sometimes the politicians will have to accept the FACT that not everything revolves around them.
It's "politically untenable" to deal with an invasion force 11 million strong? Well, it's SOCIALLY untenable to NOT deal with them.
Our choices are pretty clear-cut. We can either deal with the invasion, or, we can SURRENDER to the invaders.
This is a decision many other countries have had to make in the past. It's nothing new.
What is new is the notion that the absolute, final, ultimate deciding factor is the best-interest of the politicans.
I would remind everyone that surrender to an occupying force is NOT necessarily "politically untenable". The Vichy French proved that fact.
It seems increasingly obvious that "our" politicians would NOT find it "politically untenable" to cut a deal with the invaders.
It's the future of our nation that is at stake. It's nothing less than that.
We will NOT be able to survive -- as a nation -- an invasion force of 100 million -- or more -- which is exactly what we are going to face within the next few years unless we take our country back from the "interests" that have bought out "our" government.
Take a good look around you. Soak it all in. These ARE "the good old days". Take photos, so you'll have something to show your grandchildren, to tell them about what it used to be like when there was a United States of America.
We are losing our country. And we are being satiated by "bread and circuses", while our "leaders" are giving away the store.
I'm shocked, shocked!
I feel the same.
I am ready to just throw in the towel. I can't read any more or watch the news.
It is time for me to give it a rest for a long while.
Immigration is not the Ross Perot of '08.
United We Stand.
The Democratic Crime Syndicate is going down.
The Rhinocrats are next.
Stay focused
There hasn't been much of a difference lately

that's an understatement
He is right. The problem with the illegals is that a very bad element has been coming across lately. If they are caught, it's because they are caught in commission of a crime (or DUI, or hit and run). I would have no problem if they would deport 10 and then let in 10 on guest worker permits.
