..Then THE SPECIAL FORCES UNIT began to push people to the walls. You couldn't breathe. With great difficulty for demonstrators it was possible to break through encompassment...

In Janko's park Kupaly more than 30 thousand people assembled. ...

...Column went very disciplined, stopping on all light signals. Machines signaled into the sign of solidarity, the people left from the buses and the trolley buses and they were joining the column.

On Dzerzhinskiy's St(who came up with this name? - directly according to Freud) column met the Special Force of internal troops. First soldiers simply knocked on their shields by bludgeons. People: "we are not afraid!". Then troops went into attack. When the first explosion thundered, it was scarry. Because it became by no means understandable that this is only noise grenade. Then tear gas and the smoke pots. People were beaten terribly. Injured lay on the road. Rumors spread of those killed.

OZNAZ????????? What the heck is that? And by the way, "SpetsNaz" are subordinate to GRU. Perhaps you mean Alpha or Vimpel? And no, they weren't there. They have enough of their own worries.

Those Belarusian Omonovtsy are pretty intimidating. I got the impression they are chosen for their height and build. The patrol the streets of Minsk in pairs. But, unlike in Moscow they don't appear to shake down people for $$$. And Lukashenko makes sure he keeps them happy. If only the Belarusians had a better organized and led opposition...
I still think Lukashenko's downfall will come from within his own government - no proof, no info, just a feeling. I mean think about it - he sounds like a complete moron when he speaks (much to the delight of Russian comedians, who mock him). Someone in his inner circle has got to be sitting there at the meetings thinking "how the hell am I subordinate to this buffon."

OZNAZ is FSB/SVR spetsnaz. Vympel and Alpha belong to Oznaz.

You are confused. OZNAZ is not a correct acronym. It should be OSNAZ (note the "s"), but that is just a generic term for military forces of the security services. There are "OSNAZ" in the Russian Navy, Russian Army, Ministry of Interior, FSB, etc. There are examples of voiska Osobogo Naznechiniya (Special security forces). It's not what they call themselves formally, but is something that people refer to when they want to talk about overall security forces.

Vympel is considered a completely independent special security forces brigade.
