House Majority Leader John A. Boehner refused yesterday to rule out compromising with the Senate to expand the House border security bill to include a guest-worker program or provisions that opponents call "amnesty." "Let's wait and see what the Senate can produce," he told reporters yesterday when asked whether House Republicans would reject the Senate Judiciary Committee's proposal to allow the estimated 12 million illegal aliens now in the U.S. to seek citizenship after paying a fine.

I wish there was a way to spell banjo music. Something like, "burm bucka burm bucka burm bucka burm bucka..."
Last night on O'Reilly factor Dick Morris was talking about the GOP losing the hispanic vote just like the black vote if they did not have a guest worker program and secured borders. He also was talking about the election in Mexico where it is neck and neck with fox's party and the very close buddy of Charvez. If the very left party wins he is very antiAmerican and between him and chavez could be difficult for the US oil prices. But the oil companies are now raising the gas prices because they have to take out a chemical that is bad for underground water and replace it and the government will not protect them from lawsuits so up goes the gasoline prices.
---See, in debate, one makes a point, and then a counterpoint is offered. When called upon to simply state how YOUR way would be an improvement, you can't answer--possibly because you aren't posting your thoughts, merely repeating something someone else said or wrote.---
Then there's your way of debating, where one simply says the same thing oveer and over, mixed with insults, until the other person shrugs their shoulders and moves on in search of intelligent conversation.
Picture if you will a small town in New Mexico with agriculture, oil fields and ranching. The time is 1943 and the town is 85 % Caucasian with the Mexican population North of the center of town on the worst soil found. Slowly but steadily the population swings (Still all control and city offices held by Caucasians). See now the town as it is. The mayor is Mexican and most governmental and city posistions are held by Mexicans . Why not, since they now are 70% of the population, born there and they hung in there. I left that town and so did many others in the 50's for greener pastures. It was not white flight but simply better opportunities arose elsewhere. The town is still a good town and the people there make it so. I would use the term mocha mix to describe the makeup now. That's just how it is.
I will check in later today. Right now I am going out to work in my garden without any Mexicans to help me!
Then this thread ain't the place to be, Professor!
BTTT
I heard V. Bush saying this morning on my drive into the office that it's a broken system forcing these folks to sneek in and break our laws.
I wonder if he understands how broken the Federal Income Taxation system is and how it's forcing me to find new ways to defund them.
Coop cannot reply to legitimate question or partake in any adult dialog.
You are posting to an individual with the mentality of a 10 year old.
And yet I still run circles around you lifetime Mensa members. Fascinating!
How about NO bill?
Let's just enforce the laws we already HAVE on trhe books about illegal immigrants?
Under Title 8 Section 1325 of the U.S. Code, "Improper Entry by Alien," any citizen of any country other than the United States who:
-Enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers; or
-Eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers; or
-Attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact;
has committed a federal crime.
Violations are punishable by criminal fines and imprisonment for up to six months. Repeat offenses can bring up to two years in prison. Additional civil fines may be imposed at the discretion of immigration judges, but civil fines do not negate the criminal sanctions or nature of the offense.
Furthermore....
Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act in 1996; (Deportation and exclusion procedures were consolidated, effective April 1, 1997.)
-The president can deport any alien who was deemed dangerous.
Why do we need MORE laws when the ones we have are GOOD enough?
Why would I reply when our big, tough Marine stormed off in a hissyfit because all his hypocritical abuse reports were being ignored?
To every one else, you are a joke.
Let me know where we can meet, I can assure you that your problem will be solved.
et me ask you something. Let's say this plan goes through and half the people refuse to sign up. Will you favor deporting those who refuse to sign up?
Au contraire, my rarely posting old-timer [wink]. To all the brigade bunker boys who were furiously pinged I am "a joke," although for some reason the perpetually pissed off posse rarely seems to laugh.
To the thoughtful, intelligent people that don't generally frequent other forums I'm quite a hoot!
See, it all comes down to this. Is what I'm doing any different than what the "Bushbot" and "Kool-aid" label throwing crowd is doing? No, not at all. Yet some of you only wade onto here whining about me. It's not a coincidence. And you're not fooling anyone.
But keep trying. Because I think it's quite obvious I ain't goin' nowhere, Vern!
Yes, they scare me. Big muscles, tattoos, hair everywhere, facial scars. And don't get me started on the male Marines!
Ahhh, physical threats. Kinda weakens your little "Coop is a 10-year-old" accusation. ROTFL!! You CLOWNS are so durned easy.
Chris, this thread really isn't the place for reasoned debate.
But since you asked so nicely, I favor throwing any illegal immigrants out of our country. But I also recognize the logistical nightmare of trying to put the genie back in the bottle. In short, this ain't an easy problem to solve. And the details are a LONG way from being worked through. Which is why I won't be pouring concrete in my backyard anytime soon. But I just may splurge and buy a can or two of Spam!
