Does anyone really believe that we would cut off welfare benefits to illegals or force them to pay a fine? Here is the argument we will hear: Is is fair to deport a large, poor family that cannot pay the $2000 (is it $2000 per person or per family?) when a smaller, more affluent family can pay it and is allowed to stay? The whole idea of requiring these folks to pay fines is silly and I certainly can't see welfare benefits being taken away. As time goes on these provisions will be watered down. They only put these provisions in this bill to make them easier to sell to the American people. I feel like we are being humored.

Yes they will, if they are ever even enforced to begin with. This is capitulation, plain and simple. Raise the white flag, we have given up.

Absolutely right TMG. You have just seen right through all the bureaucratic maze of lying BS that Congress is so famous for. They want to create a nice sounding law that accomplishes what they want, unlimited illegal immigration for the sake of a few votes, and then once it is in law ignore the hell out of it!! Which is exactly what will happen!! Rush has their number! This is UAE all over again. Except the Mexicons are now the good guys. They can cross any ol' time. We don't care. But let those lousy Arabs from Dubai run our ports,no way!! Go figure we have a Congress that is permanently stuck on stupid.
