So in order to save 10 cents on some lettuce you can constantly import almost free labor, while leaving the burden on the tax payers who must pay them welfare so they don't starve because the farmers are only paying them 20 bucks a day.

If it were only a matter of 10 cents I might be persuaded. It's more than 10 cents and it's even more, very much more, expensive to devote the resources needed not just to remove illegals from this country, but also to marshal the political will of Americans to want to do this.
