Republican pollster Jan van Lohuizen, in a memo written for RNC chairman Ken Mehlman, warns that if members of Congress try to drive a wedge between themselves and Pres. Bush, it'd be akin to adding weight to an anchor. GOpers are "W Brand Republicans" whether they like it or not. And van Louhizen, who has polled (often secretly) for the Bush White House under the RNC aegis for years, is worried about low turnout.
Time Magazine first reported on the memo this weekend, but the full text is below.

I believe that people who want to be American citizens, learn English, and show a desire to assimilate should be applauded, welcomed and not be made to spend years in line to get here. My Asian neighbors are a perfect example of model immigrants. They are the truly the model we should try to push.
What is going on with the Mexicans and South americans is utter chaos and anarchy.
2. It's truly a sign of ignorance to get into name calling
You said it.
You are a fawning mouthpiece of the Party of Money who thinks that if he does their bidding he will be protected from the plans they have for the rest of us. Safe with a guaranteed job, a cozy pension, a nice house in a nice town in a coed rich environment.
Why should you 'dance to my banjo' ? I can't subsidize you.
People like this never have walked the street and have ZERO clue of what really goes down.
They sit in their pressure free classroom, spout out all sorts of nonsense, and have no fear of being fired or undercut.
The minute they hit streets, they are done.
Yes, too early to tell. And I have confidence, despite the doom and gloomers, that GWB will lead the party to victory in november, yet again.
Question:
If the people here illegally refuse to sign up for the quest worker plan - will you favor deportation in that case?
Wrong. My best possible position was Janice Rogers Brown. I did not get it. I got over it.
"People like this never have walked the street and have ZERO clue of what really goes down."
You're a liar. You know this isn't true, but you repeat it regardless.
"You are a fawning mouthpiece of the Party of Money who thinks that if he does their bidding he will be protected from the plans they have for the rest of us. "
Now I know what kind of person I'm dealing with and why they'll never have any real influence in this nation.
Been there, done that, on the streets of Detroit. How pompous of you to assume I hadn't.
Have you ever had a private sector job between your "studies"????
North Korea is not suicidal. Unlike the Islamo fascists, Kim Jong Il does not want to die. Which would be the result if he does anything. There is a reason we are building a series of very promising missile defense systems (Thank you Ronald Reagan). And we have plans to incinerate NoKo, if need be. Hell, even China is tired of the little dictator now. Let the regional powers deal with the little dictator.
If we had not conquered Aghanistan and Iraq, the Lebanese would not have booted the Syrians, Khaddafi would not have "volunteered" to terminate his nuke program, terrorist training camps would still be in both countries, the UAE and the Saudis would not be fighting Al Quaeda as much as they have, Syria and Iran would not be ripe for the pickings as they now are, and the ME would have zero chance of getting out of the dark ages.
You say the Afghan gov't is responsible for threatening to kill the Christian convert. On the contrary, it was the Afghan gov't that put pressure on the local sharia idiots to let him go. I heard no gov't officials, only Imans, calling for his death. And it should only REINFORCE the idea that our presence and influence there is vital. Under the taliban, not only did they kill christian converts, they killed women and children for the most idiotic reasons.
So NoKo is important, but it is not as important as killing off the islamo fascists.
cause no one I know with any street experience has such views and an ivory tower outlook such as yourself.
Several, including blue collar work. If I list them, you'll say it's not enough, right?
Yep, a civil war is a brewing. Murtha, Pelosi and now Sam the sham said so. You win a free subscription to the Nation.
Please respond to my earlier question.
Let's say 1/2 of the illegals don't go for the program and refuse to sign up, will you favor deporting said 6 million people?
sorry...missed that post...take care
