Yes, I have a sister exactly like that. She has a miserable life and when anyone tries to include her in family outings etc, she gets angry and says that we should stop communicating with her. Her attitude is, "Please don't spoil my misery."
I looked at her and decided that happiness is, after all, just a personal decision because she has all the money she wants but still enjoys her misery.
