This morning, President Bush announced from the Oval Office at the White House, the resignation of long time friend, and 5 year Chief of Staff, Andrew Card, and the appointment of Josh Bolten, director of the White House Office of Management and Budget, to that position. Later, following a Cabinet Meeting, the President made a statement in the Rose Garden, surrounded by Cabinet members, about the progress in the government of Iraq, and the commitment of his administration to work with their counterparts in Iraq in the future.
In news of significance to all conservatives, both Lyn Nofziger (81), Reagan press secretary, and Caspar Weinberger (88), Reagan's Secretary of Defense, died in the past 24 hours. Both men served with distinction and will be missed.
Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose!
You're welcome jan! I'm so glad you've joined us. :)
Good evening thanks for the dose
No kidding? Great. Well, not great we had an imposter here.
Josh Bolten, the new WH Chief of Staff, started the group Bikers for Bush as reported by MSNBC. He's good looking, articulate and educated at Stamford.
It's ticked me off to hear the other networks play the Andy Card resignation as a WH shakeup because of the president's low poll numbers. Card was the second longest serving Chief of Staff we've ever had in this country.
Great pics tonight......I hope Josh Bolten serves Dubya well...I heard on the rountable tonight that he plans to shake up the WH staff, which might be a good thing...
And since I brought up poll numbers:
Lyndon Johnson, 35%
Richard Nixon, 24%
Gerald Ford, 37%
Jimmy Carter, 28%
Ronald Reagan, 35%
George H. Bush, 29%
Bill Clinton, 37%.

And that was a good day.
Perhaps the rest of the people could be cropped out........
So true. If FR had been around then, he'd have been into negative digits.
Checking in... and will be back later.
It's dog walkies time.
Touching photos indeed! Thanks for the Dose ohio!
They just make things up and put them in the headlines based on their own bias and tunnel vision. Fortunately very few Americans trust anything they say.....
I just love the one of the standing ovation for Card.
Thanks for posting.
Freep mail to you
The MSM's poll numbers are the ones they should be concerned about.
Hello again, my Thin Mint addicted friend :)
When fighting evil, it's imperative to fight hard, and that's exactly what this administration is facing..........both abroad, and at home.
God Bless our troops and President Bush!
I'll bet most Americans didn't even know what his numbers were...........and I'll bet they were a lot more legit than any of the poll numbers are now.
